hi there, that item isn't registered as a lootable item item anywhere in particle library. i suspect one of the mods you have installed may be recklessly modifying NPC loot tables. i suggest disabling mods one-by-one until you find the mod that's causing the issue, as it could be causing more unintentional drops
with that said, i''ve removed the item since it's no longer needed. if you update your mod, the devtool will no longer drop
this was fixed in a patch earlier today. please update your mod
Thanks. After you updated mod (needed to download update via mod browser) it was fixed <3
any other details like a log or the error you're encountering?
apologies, it was an accident. the bug was remedied a couple minutes after update.
right-click with the tool or restart your game
since the API rewrite i've been a little burned out on the library. sorry for the inconvenience, i'll try to have the particle limits functional soon. in the meantime you can try turning `Max Particles` down to zero and see if that works since most mods are still using normal particles
this mod does not change vanilla particle effects. It allows other mods to add their own particle effects. someone could absolutely make a mod to replace vanilla dust with particles, though
the previous problem was resolved in the discord server. can you post your crash log in the Bug Reports discussion?
https://pastebin.com/bFgDeMC7
it won't help if calamity is the issue, it doesn't make use of this library. i understand how calamity could cause fps drops, though.
if you would still like to try, you should see a gear icon next to ParticleLibrary in your Manage Mods menu. you can access the max particle limit from there.
do you know what mod is spawning the particles? have you limited the max particles?
as mentioned in the description, this mod is a library, it does not change gameplay unless explicitly used by other mods. mods like Mod of Redemption and Shadows of Abaddon make use of this library.
it can, depending on the mod that uses it. unoptimized particles can easily cause performance issues. if you're encountering this issue, i suggest turning down the maximum particles in ParticleLibrary's mod config. you'll find this in your manage mods menu by clicking the gear icon next to ParticleLibrary
can you post your error log in the discussion?
So far both mods of Fargo's in separate instances bricked my world on two separate occasions. I know his goal is to provide fun stuff for people to play, but the lack of quality control on his content compared to yours makes me respect you so much more. He hasn't even bothered pushing fixes when he knows his own code is responsible
can you provide the error or the log from the crash? I'll need it to address the issue.
Particle Library has it's own particle system. the limit only effects this particle system. with that in mind, it doesn't collide with other mods since only mods that use this library use its particle system. as far as I'm aware, Calamity doesn't use this library. thank you for the ideas, but I don't believe that's the issue at hand.
can you provide the error? I can't fix it without it.
