I see how it works
Stomno Oct 6 @ 4:53am
I have a problem with KYR Real Weather mod. I've put min temp to -60 and max temp to 40 but we are in April and the snow hasn't melted and the temp is -20. It's like the winter don't want to end.

Do you think this mod could help?
badatthis Oct 6 @ 4:28am
Gotcha. Thanks for the reply. I suppose that means there's no way to extend the months then? If the functionality is skipping days specifically.
Daimyo  [author] Oct 5 @ 4:28pm
@badatthis This mod doesnt speed or slow down gameplay time, it SKIPS entire days at the END of the day. So you can have 6 hour days where you play, loot, kill all day, then at the end of the day 12am, it will skip X days later depending on your settings.
@Trench It just means time will past normally in winter if you set it to 0 (vanilla time passage). This is so you can skip more or less days in specific seasons.
@Rummy Read Known Issues
@Cube yes, so if a month has 30 days, 30-15 = 15 days in the month, thus skipping roughly every other day.
badatthis Sep 21 @ 8:12am
I'm little brained and squinting at this trying to figure out how it would affect things if I have 6 and a half hour days and 6 and a half hour nights.
Trench Crusader Aug 20 @ 11:38am
im confused, ok so if i set the winter to 0, then the other months 15, does that mean eternal winter almost?
Cosmo Jul 19 @ 1:56pm
Hey @Daimyo This mod makes it possible to speed up the passage of time so that a month is not 30 days long (1 day is 1/1.5 real hours) but, for example, only 10 days.
Saucy Samuel L. Jackson Jul 8 @ 10:59am
@umpisusi no as it says in known issues, if the weather says tomorrow it will be rainy but this mod skips 3 days, then no it will not rain because that day will have passed 😅
rummy Jun 16 @ 12:07am
How does this mod work with weather forecasts? If the radio says it will rain tomorrow, and the mod skips a few days at midnight, will it still rain tomorrow?
Cube Jun 4 @ 6:01am
I've got a dumbass question. i only want a 1 day skip, do i then put 15 days per month?
Serenity May 22 @ 11:33pm
Hello Daimyo, thank you so much for answering.
I am very sorry for spreading disinformation, Horde Night did actually work. Possibly for the first night, zombies spawned too far and then wandered away.
It worked on the second night, just yesterday returning to my base I was greeted by a huge spawned horde and barely survived.
I am glad that both of these these wonderful mods work together.

Thank you for making the game more playable!
Daimyo  [author] May 21 @ 3:40am
A likely guaranteed workaround to get horde night to work is to set the "Random Horde Night" setting to something like 10% (assuming it's percent based and has a chance to trigger every X hours/days). That way it's no longer tied to a set frequency and will trigger randomly from time to time.
Daimyo  [author] May 21 @ 3:35am
The reason horde night likely doesn't work is bc the dev likely sets a hard date in the future like 1/1/1993 as the "horde night". Then my mod has a chance to skip over that date bc it's skipping days/weeks depending on your settings.
Serenity May 19 @ 7:01pm
Can confirm that Horde Night is not working with this mod. Note that I have 165 other mods, can't be 100% sure :)
So what happens is that I hear growling sound on Horde Day, but nothing happens.
BeerfishTV Mar 27 @ 4:02pm
Does this mod affect things like item and zombie respawning, too? And also, does it allow for time to progress when no-one is connected to the server?
Pandize Mar 21 @ 2:03am
Noticing this breaks Horde Night. Not sure how, but it does. :(
Amroth Mar 13 @ 3:07am
Is there a way to fix the issue with AEB? I like to plan for weather events, but it being semi-random kinda makes it fall apart.
Pendah Mar 5 @ 9:04am
That is nice, so if I play with 15 days per month with a 2h day lenght, i will reach winter at about the same gameplay time originally intended with the 1h day lenght. :steamhappy:
StormFather Feb 13 @ 1:28am
Would it be possible to get an option that sets when the sped up time kicks in? E,g the first 30 days run 1:1 days, then after that its X days per month, maybe even after another set point a faster rate? Its fun to experience the first few weeks longer days, then adapt to the new normal with faster days after some time.
Daimyo  [author] Feb 6 @ 2:10pm
@CJ187 it currently works with seasons only but I'll look into adding an option to configure it on a per month basis
Daimyo  [author] Feb 6 @ 2:09pm
@Ash you can customize this mods parameters to exclude your starting season so it plays like vanilla.
Ashurakamy🐾 Feb 6 @ 2:08am
seriously breaks the day counter in the [B42] Week One NPC mod.
CJ187 Feb 4 @ 5:20am
please can you make a seasons mod depending on ingame month and without timeskip?
Daimyo  [author] Feb 3 @ 1:42pm
@Space I believe the Automated Emergency Broadcast system may set a hard date like if in-game the date is 1/1/1994 and AEB says tomorrow on 1/2/1994 it will rain, but this mod skips to 1/4/1994 (because we want faster seasons so shorter months), and so it likely won't rain because it should've rained on 1/2/1994.
蔡徐坤 Jan 15 @ 7:46pm
中文翻译 这个MOD让四季的更替加快,MOD打开就是默认10天为一个月,这样过一年只需要120天了,可以自己在沙盒中设置实际天数:steamthumbsup:
Space Jan 9 @ 6:37pm
Does this mod work with the Automated Emergency Broadcast? ie; will the broadcast still be correct?
Daimyo  [author] Dec 31, 2024 @ 3:34am
@F1tgal911 That doesn't make any sense since the mod only does a check at the end of each day. Then it grabs the current day, and skips X days ahead. So it's mid-save compatible but it will skip days ahead. So if it skips 5 days ahead and you save, then uninstall the mod, time will proceed normally after that 1 day at a time.

To everyone else asking about how time passes. Read the section above: "How does this affect water/electric shut-off, farming, erosion, days survived, etc.?"

It should affect animals the same way since this mod "Skips days", it doesn't "simulate" them.
LumberingTroll Dec 30, 2024 @ 2:18pm
@F1tgal911 usually not a good idea to install major feature mods without a new game.
F1tgal911 Dec 30, 2024 @ 10:13am
This mod basically destroyed my day 200+ save on B42 by installing it midgame and then noticeing that the months/seasons won't progress any longer. Setting the mod to "0" which should mean "mod deactivated" did not help.
abbasi Dec 29, 2024 @ 7:18am
can i use this mod to only have winter enabled and no other season?
andrzej tatowski Dec 29, 2024 @ 5:01am
how doses it affect to a moded map is evrything compabilite ?
Frog Dec 29, 2024 @ 2:08am
any update for crops? i dunno how it works
ThisIsName Dec 26, 2024 @ 1:06am
So how are we supposed to balance new crops around shorted season? Just setting farming speed hella higher? With stuff taking like 150 days to grow it's pretty much impossible for something to grow before winter, even with 15days/month
Cooper Dec 25, 2024 @ 8:30am
How does it affect Life and Living TV schedule?
uegue Dec 23, 2024 @ 3:39pm
So does this affect animals and what not or do they function similarly to the Electricity and Water where they only register the actual time your character is active.
n4ret Dec 18, 2024 @ 9:53am
OH my goodness one of my fav mod already updated thanks so much daimyo I aint gotta wait years irl for snow!!
Ayomira Nov 12, 2024 @ 9:45pm
ok thanks
Daimyo  [author] Nov 12, 2024 @ 2:34pm
@Ayomira, no 0 means the season runs normal (your essentially disabling the mod for that season). So setting all to 0 disables the mod.

@Vasher, it should only affects loot respawn based on days played. Let me know if you see otherwise
Daimyo  [author] Nov 12, 2024 @ 2:33pm

Ayomira Nov 10, 2024 @ 8:23am
so set to 0 means forever this season, not close this season, right?
Gestr Nov 10, 2024 @ 8:23am
How this mod affect a loot respawn ?
IronLungs Nov 8, 2024 @ 3:49am
thanks for the update....solid mod

Update 11/8/2024
-New parameters per season!
-You can now change month lengths per season (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). So you can have shorter spring months, and longer winter months for example.
-You can now disable whole season by setting the parameter to 0. So if you want full length winters, set winters to 0, and Spring, Summer, and Fall you can set to between 1-15.
-You can set all parameters to 0 to disable the mod so you don't need to unsubscribe if you want to disable temporarily.
-Save game compatible, safe to add/remove mid-save (you may need to run your game with -debug mode to update your sandbox variables on an existing save else they will default to 10).
Daimyo  [author] Nov 7, 2024 @ 7:18pm
@:V of course, its compatible with any time based mod. It doesnt modify time, only skips days based on your settings.

Read section on mod page above:
"How does this affect water/electric shut-off, farming, erosion, days survived, etc.?"

@miklav yes safe to add and remove mid-save, read mod description
:v Nov 2, 2024 @ 9:41am
compatible with Horde night config?
miklav Oct 26, 2024 @ 6:13pm
QUESTION: Can I add this to my server mid game? will it work?
Cash Aug 10, 2024 @ 5:49am
Nvm, just a heads up: In vanilla settings do not set the temperature to "Cold" or "Hot". It can and will mess with this mod. For example I had a winter for 60 days, due to setting the temp to cold. SO beware while adjusting the sandbox to your liking.
Ichinin May 7, 2024 @ 7:58am
Just a heads up: This mod isn't compatible with Expanded Helicopter Events. Helos will still spawn, but seemingly randomly. And if the Emergency channel announces a inbound chopper, it will be missed the next day as this mod steps past it. It's either this or EHE.
Ichinin May 7, 2024 @ 3:29am
Pretty cool mod. A normal year is just too long to get the feeling of time passing, so many just don't reach winter and have to deal with cold temperatures.
nox May 2, 2024 @ 6:40am
@ryanisuniqye107 There's a mod called cryogenic winter which makes winter forever after a few days.
