could you make them be placeble furniture (ex: be like a retexture of a wooden crate) instead of container items? that would help from players from picking it up (using other mod) or make them be like a trader shop using the mod Shops and traders.

This is actually great idea for a mod, it makes my base feel somewhat "alive". Looking forward for more variations in the future !

One question though - did anyone tinkered with mannequin mechanics? Would be really nice to use them as a base for it, just changing texture to look more like a real human, that way players could dress them up as they please.

there might be a way to use both this and the turret mod to looks like static npc's firing turrets for you ;)

This is a great idea. Phenomenal idea. Other than adding more, do you have thoughts on expanding these props with functionality? I could see using them in the same way that "The Workshop" uses its workbench. You could make trade recipes. Trade them cash for items etc.

If you don't want to do that expansion, I'd love to take a swing at helping with it as it develops.
