I think an altitude hold and pitch control would make a good addition to this aircraft

Right, so from testing: Maximum speed with full thrust is Mach 4+, but usually all control is lost at around Mach 1. It seems that the landing gear and the nose antenna really mess with the physics somehow, the plane starts spinning vertically.
