As mentioned previously, it was great for me to actually get a train into Banff in 1978.
My wife and I then went to the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton for a week. One of the best weeks of our lives. Out late every night after the sport, attending cultural shows by the participating countries. Every night in bed about 1:00am, then up at 9:00am, to do it all again. Stayed in a undergound carport with our own key, to come and go as we pleased. Magic.
