You can install any engine that produces thrust to test. Remove the existing engine and the engine control panel and add yours.

Hey I love the build, I was wondering if we could work together on an updated version that can accommodate jet engines

Updated: Fixed issues caused by gas update and simplified control panel.

you are welcome

There is a hole in the big left blue tank.

Hey, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if the creation is broken, but the "Total Fluid (Tare + Lifted)" just goes to 0 after waiting for quite a while without the "Balance Achieved" light going on...

I have uploaded my try to get it to work to the workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2950665986

Could you please try it yourself and tell me if i did something wrong?

@krail,
Thanks!

Nice system!

It does not matter much, other than precision and waiting time. Smaller slot numbers for bigger engines, bigger slot numbers for smaller engines. I use slot 1 most of the time. If your engine is medium or big you can use 0.3 or 0.5 slots to wait less. If you are not comfortable with precision (this is usually the case for very small engines) switch back to slot 1 or maybe 2 if your engine is really small.

I get that but how do I determine what number I NEED to use

ApocTheWanderer,
See numbers on the beam
ApocTheWanderer Dec 13, 2022 @ 2:34pm
how do I determine the correct slot for my engine?

Hands down one of the most most useful creations on the ws right now, thank you for making this.

I made comparison test with generator outputs (sWatt). Results were perfectly proportional to the measured thrust with this. But each generator have different efficiency, large being the best.

@Flying Sherman Jumbo,
It looks like your engine is powerful enough to lift over 100,000 mass at least for a moment. Try using engine mount slot number [0.3] which the thrust direction is towards down.
Flying Sherman Jumbo Feb 2, 2022 @ 12:45pm
Results inconclusive, crashed into hangar roof

ah ok, i do understand many people don't get how to install mods very excited to see your new collection
Thales  [author] Feb 2, 2022 @ 4:40am
@UndeadHunter64,
Thanks.

Currently I'm close to finishing a modded civilian plane but it'll be my last modded plane to upload in to workshop due to negative feedbacks/ratings. (This would change if there'd be modding support via Steam that mods can be uploaded to Steam workshop instead of external download requirements.)

Regarding my future builds I plan to create a new collection based on realistic weight and power output in addition to featuring 1:1 scale as I always aimed. So, I'll most likely make a WW2 fighter, it may be new or remake of my previous ones. Thanks for suggestion.

very cool indeed but I am just asking can u make a P-51 using the modded parts?
Thales  [author] Jan 29, 2022 @ 11:40am
Thanks :steamthumbsup:
carn1vore Jan 28, 2022 @ 11:05pm
Very cool!
GrumpyOldMan Jan 26, 2022 @ 11:47pm
Most excellent, as usual.
Can't wait to give it a try!
ThatOneGuy1917 Jan 26, 2022 @ 11:07pm
I like it, though I can't get the custom parts for your other builds, I've tried everything, but that is truly my problem.
KazBoom10 Jan 26, 2022 @ 5:42pm
It is nice to see you making more quality workshop content.

Feel free to ask questions when needed.

Feedback would be good especially for finding the best kg/kW ratio for power estimations (Horsepower and Kilowatt) using the measured thrust in mass.
