I dont play PZ alot but pretty sure this mod does work
Make sure it's at the bottom of your load list

And for those looking for a mod that slows down or speeds up zombies
There's one that does that n makes them start slow n speed up to what type of zombie they are (e.g: shamblers will not speed up to sprinters) and vise versa
.. I just forgot the name of it lol dont play alot remember :p

Tried it with the TLOU infected, didn't seem to have the slightest affect on them :/

Can someone explain how it work. Do all zombies become runners once they evolve or u where u can change % per zombie?

Double checked it and tried Milo Dack's comment. But i made it so it evolves 0-100 in 15 days and i sped up in debug mode. They did evolve and i can say it works. But some of sandbox boxes in the bottom (like deviation bla bla) are missing and bugged out. Maybe its a problem in my end. They don't do much because important stuff is at the top. It may be usable.

these are the alternatives he said in his github but not really useful

there's also a "zombie randomizer" maybe that will give feeling of this. combined with slower sprinters mod would make good choice.

It did not work for me. There was simply no changes or devolutions with negative *Evolution Factor*.

its been over a year pushing 2 years since this was last updated mod author has not responded to comments since feb last year if things are not working it maybe very well be because the mods dead but happy to be wrong as this looks promising

Hey Kayli, I really like the concept of this mod but I am not sure what I am doing wrong in the start up. I set it so there would be no changes for the first 30 days and then they would evolve over the following 90 so that by day 120, they'd be really hard. By day 4, I've got all sprinters that are super tough to kill, which has basically meant I've been forced to abandon the game because it has become too difficult to continue in!

This mod would be better if only some zombies evolved, but then also died after a certain amount of time to make the game balanced.

@El Capitan Try unsubbing then uninstalling the mod directly from the workshop folder, then validate ur game. Worked for me!

hi im hosting a MP run with my other 2 friends, but i cannot find where i can set the evolution features. what i have to do? where is the setting menu? do i need another mod? thank you!

Ok so either I don't understand how the settings work, or this doesn't work correctly in MP on the latest patch.

Starting with Fast Shamblers with a max evolution of Sprinter and a deviation of 3% instead of 50%, I expected to have 3% sprinters by the time the evolution is at its maximum. It's more of a good 10 to 20%.

I tried lowering it as far back as 0.001% but it's still at the very least 10% of the zombies that are still sprinting.

hey, i have question if zombie start transmission none and then they will evolve to Blood+Saliva, that mean in begining i cant become zombie if i getting bite ? Thanks you

The mod can do that.

Instead of having a positive value for "Evolution factor," use a negative value. The zombies will then progress from their "Max" attribute setting to their "Min," with the "Zombie Lore" setting as the baseline.

I guess what I mean is, perhaps a suggestion:
Settings in such a format:
Sprinting:
Starting value: 4.0
End game value: 1.0
Strength:
Starting value: 1.0
End game value: 4.0

Based on above, it would show that while zombies slow down, their strength and *need* to get you increases.

IDK man, I feels like the reality should be the reverse of this, since the body starts decaying and stuff, cognitive ability should decrease instead of increasing overtime. But surely, if we use the Fungi mod instead, it will make sense, since Fungi zombies are a whole different life form, not simply dead body moving on its own

I've been doing some tests on this setting with regards to zombie speed.
It seems for speed at the least, the vanilla option works as a lower limit of what possible speed zombies can get. I would assume it works similar for the others.
By setting it to shambler i was able to finally get all three zombie speeds in the game at the same time, somewhere a bit after 75% of evolution reached.

so odes it matter what i set zombies to in the base game zombie lore ? should i set them all to normal and evolve them with mid diviation or should i go with all low base lore zombies with 100% deviation ?

suggestion: add compatitability to scent of blood, please dont feed the zombies and suspectible so over time the virus will mutate, making it go airborne or giving zombies ability to smell blood/rotten flesh

Starting Progression: Evolution has already been going for this many days when you start the game.
For values below 0 zombies will start less evolved, but evolution will not pause.

how far below 0? What does it do exactly???

How does this interact with the Zombie Lore "Decomposition" setting? Does the mod override that setting?

I'm also not quite sure I understand how this interacts with something like the "Six Months Later" preset. Will evolution already have progressed if I leave Evolution Delay at the default setting of 0.0 or does it start from whatever my actual day 0 is?

yeah same as muerto, I can't seem to fix it up for coop or find it in the sandbox file
