The issues with harpax were probably why CA ditched it from full game. It is in files but it is not 100% working....There is not much i can do about it.

Mod updated for patch 17, just minor changes to campaign cap of elite ships (no cap), my harpax ships now copy it too. :-)

As far as I can see, it is still compatible. CA haven´t touched anything related.I´m right now checking this particular mod...give me a few minutes... :D

When I use the Harpax ship in custom battle– coastal battle (not naval battle), the Harpax remains locked to the side and doesn’t rotate towards the bow.
Even in the mode boarding Harpax not fire the harpoon and doesn’t capture the enemy ship.
Does anyone else have the same problem? It is fixable? Thanks.

Checked Coastal battles and Harpax seems to work,ship is sailing in any direction,using harpax,boarding even landing on beach...I cannot reproduce the problem so far. Anybody else having the same problem?

Yes, I did the tests. In the battle "only naval" is all ok, but in the "coastal battle" it doesn't work.

are you sure,that you are switched into boarding mode and then ordered harpax to board enemy ship? I just tried 10 custom battles,harpax is moving around normally and launching hooks after orders for boarding...

The Harpax doesn't rotate and doesn't fire a harpoon.

Italian Player - I just run the game and Harpax is working. You are unable to recruit them, or they are not firing or what is the problem?

Guys I´m waiting for new schema for PMF editor. That´s all. As soon as it is available I can update this mod. I don´t have enough time to play with things like other modders. :(

Hi Apollo, Harpax is a little tricky to operate. (may be reason why it is not in-game by default) Try first to catch a lonely ship. Pass ships alerady engaged in boarding actions. Lonely archer ship is good practise target. And may be move in Harpax range. Hope it helps..

I really like the tweaks that were made to the combat. It feels so much better. However, I can't seem to get the Harpax to work at all. It seems to not want to respond to my boarding orders and at times will just sit and do nothing.

Hi Kronuxen, once more thx for your mod as it was first impulse for mine. :) Anyway I´m not sure that we want "fire at will" behavior at all. I found out the Harpax operation sometimes to be pretty tricky so I would prefer to use it manually anyway.

There is no way I can think of making the harpax fire at will, perhaps looking at how modders created mdos of pilum fire at will could throw some light into it but I dont know, I didnt manage to make it posible (Im the creator of the harpax mod :P)

Thx for comment, Harpax is not firing at will, you have to change ship from ramming to boarding and then attack enemy ship...only after that it is working. I cannot change it however as that´s way CA made it and coded. May be the reason why it was not used..

Tweaks are working and naval battles are fairly different now. Harpax ship doesn't tilize hooks at all and theres a unit cap of 1 so its disappointing. God concept yet needs some work.
