Fantastic idea, but I'm not so sure about that model. It doesn't quite fit TF2's old-timey. It needs a retro-futuristic redesign.

This would make more sense as a Jarate/Mad Milk reskin for Engie that used less metal but had to recharge before you could toss another one as an exit or something, maybe in the amount of time it would take to build one.

it looks good and could prove useful in a fight you dont want but i can see this being used for exploiting and getting to places you wouldnt normally be able to so overall i wouldnt want this because of that reason

I watched the youtube video and i belive it should be added but IT SHOULD NOT be able to teleport with the intel because thats just too op

Patches:

1.make its project like grenades (with sticky ability)

2.picking up ammo packs will reduce its regenerate time

3.invincible for 0.5-1 second after teleporting


Suggestions (optional):

1.make it stick to surface like sticky bombs instead of grenades

2.make it return immediately after 2-3 second instead of 5 when not enough space to teleport

3.make it return immediately when thrown outside the map/death pits
(because it wouldn't be nice to die after a missed shot)

4.an-ti fire to destroy/return item
(same as no.3)

5.players can destroy it like sticky bombs
(like short circuit or just any weapon)


?.additional buffs? Like reduce speed, jump height, max health etc.

Suggestions/Fixes
I think it is a bit overpowered, so I came out with a few suggestions:


Buffs:

1.drop intelligence before teleporting/ cannot be used while carrying the intelligence (MUST)

2.make its regenerate time a bit longer
(with 'picking up ammo packs reduce it's regenerate time as complement)

3.make a team-coloured outline at any time as it's hardly visible due to its small size.
Also, let other players have a general idea of where the scout will be teleported to.
(just like you can see the location of engineer's buildings after respawning)

4.cannot move for 0.5-1 second after teleporting
(invincible during the time period)
(prevent taunt kill)

This may get a little op because scouts would be able to escape dire situations or got into the enemy base by throwing it into an open gate. It should damage the scout when they teleport or give them a negative debuff

This is actually something original that would have an use in Scout's arsenal. I hope this weapon will be added. Then the Scout could be even more mobile.

for everyone saying it makes engi tele useless, not really. heavies still need engi tele and besides you may be dumb and just thrown it into a pit or it may roll off the map, It's not that OP. Also do not forget about the recharge and scouts low HP, A solider can almost 1 shot him if good and it takes a while to recharge. I would love to see this added for something new for scout to throw

Yeah this should be a item replacement for engi because i nspace you cant always carry a big box full of anti-matter teleportation grids and this should be a thing for most of engi's stuff because maybe you need a anti-gravity sentry gun or a magnetic dispenser

shouldn't be for scout, he is too fast already (make it all class maybe ? Or for sniper, he is preety much ignored just scope shoot and done. maybe use it to get to places no one expects or leave the fight easily dunno what do u think ?

1 - OP. 2 - No grenades. Never grenades, not of any kind. 3 - I know this is not for the utilities that a engy teleporter does. Teleporting in TF2 should never ever be different from that. No.
