@ Axelroid Burners this mod doesn't have anything about how much gas a barrel spawns with, it just creates a simple gas barrel entity, The reason they get so much gas when you put them down initially is because of Fuel API itself, in its sandbox settings you have to set "Barrel Random Initial Fuel (%)" to 0 otherwise that dictates the random initial fuel in every barrel. I don't think Fuel API was made in mind that you can create such barrels out of nowhere and put them down, so it's up to that mod to change this behaviour.
Axelroid Burners Oct 7, 2023 @ 6:49pm
gas barrels as is are VERY OP. spawned with gas. crafted with gas. they should all be empty imo.
🖤 Hollywood Kid 🖤 Sep 12, 2023 @ 11:38am
Barrels are created with a fuel reserve of 100-200 liters, which allows you to use gasoline. Fix the recipe so that the barrels are crafting empty.
Lemmings Aug 30, 2023 @ 2:32am
I get an error and barrel does not show the "take fuel option": afterwards the "take fuel" option is shown and I can get the info about how much is stored. Any chance to fix?

@Viper this is logic, how are you going to collect gasoline from a barrel, with your hands? everything works with the canister
Viper Jul 31, 2023 @ 8:21pm
This mod is no longer working. You can put fuel into the barrel but whenever a parked vehicle is near the fuel barrel with gas in it does not show the option to refill the vehicle with gas.

Does this mod work mid save? I installed this one first and then tried doing the original one as well, both times i was not able to craft a gas barrel as i couldnt find it in either crafting menu or with the right click, filtered all in the crafting menu and nothing came up so then i searched through each tab incase it was called something else, anyone have any advice for this?

I rly love this mod, as i always wished for a way to store fuel in bigger amounts. But recently i have a disfunction on visibilty. When i place a barrel, it doesn't show ingame. They're there - i can interact with them the way it is supposed to be, but they're invisible. What can i do?
Torres Jan 30, 2023 @ 8:41am
it's not showing either in the building menu or the crafting menu...
S4ro Jan 20, 2023 @ 11:44pm
@ppsbr try to have more than one propane torch in your main inventory, should work
ppsbr Jan 2, 2023 @ 12:23pm
Hi Kraz, any chance of an update? The propane torch changed and now can only hold 10 units but you need 20 to make this barrel, this is no longer compatible with vanilla.

Crafted Gas Barrel starts with some fuel already in it.
J6 Aug 25, 2022 @ 8:52pm
It's in the actual Crafting menu, not the right click prompt
Deon ☣ Aug 16, 2022 @ 4:58am
@The Winner, on the screenshot, there's "take fuel" action. It works.
Revolver BlowJob Jul 22, 2022 @ 6:30pm
Can you please make it so that the barrel can be connected to the generator?
_PaZcAl_3K1_ Jun 10, 2022 @ 4:22pm
does it work in mp?
Nova Apr 16, 2022 @ 7:28pm
Once fuel is put in the barrel, can you pick it up?
evoman85 Mar 4, 2022 @ 12:49pm
sadly the new mod that adds Diesel & LPG seem's to have broke this mod in my save it throws a error and will not let me add or remove fuel, just a heads up.
cloud Feb 8, 2022 @ 2:41pm
thanks!
Kraz  [author] Feb 7, 2022 @ 7:06pm
@cloud no it just adds another craftable barrel to fuelapi
cloud Feb 7, 2022 @ 4:28pm
is this meant to replace the og Fuel API?
Manterok Jan 30, 2022 @ 1:03pm
@Javik I bet you don't have 2x Texture Size selected in Display Options. I had that problem with the water cooler mod, and I Turned that setting on, and it looked like it should after that. I saw the same problem on a few other mods as well. The Solar Panel mod, and a few Map Mods. Try that and see if it works.
BrewCrew Jan 30, 2022 @ 8:56am
Hi & thank you for making this mod. Are fuel cans the only way to fill these barrels? I put a couple near the gas pump at a station and can't seem to fill it up.
Javik Jan 25, 2022 @ 9:59am
i seem to have a problem with the barrels that appeared today, they are 4x the size and appear 4 tiles down on the screen from where you place them, i dont get an option to move or remove them either
El Pancho Jan 20, 2022 @ 7:22pm
Just chiming in to say I've also experienced the same bug as #John Wick with 999/400 fuel. Seems to have happened after trying to fill Autotsars fuel trailer, same option showed up "fill from pump" after clicking it, it immediately filled the tank to full and showed the bugged display of fuel in the barrel, must be a conflict somewhere between the 2. Just a heads up either use one or the other mods or be wary of the "fill from pump" option.

Not the worst bug to have either, having unlimited fuel.
Rhasmoth Jan 11, 2022 @ 11:37am
For what it's worth, wood burning stoves seem to be between 300-800lbs and a full 55-gallon drum would be roughly 400lbs. I think the only reason that a single character is allowed to move a wood burning stove in PZ is for the sake of gameplay. I do like #frack's suggestion about drums in a truck or trailer, and being able to fill it from a gas pump directly. Lifting the empty into the vehicle would be easy, the process makes a lot of sense, and adding pointless tedium to an already time-consuming game isn't fun.

As for lifting the full barrels, I see your point #Kraz. Being the same (or lesser) weight than the stoves, it's about the gameplay. But playing devil's advocate: I almost never play strong enough characters to carry the stoves without harm lol. I honestly think that the enormous weight is enough to still want a gas can on-hand. If you're willing to meet a split community half way, adding it as a non-default sandbox option would probably make a lot of people happy.
pdubte Jan 9, 2022 @ 10:44am
I think a good improvement to this mod is figuring out how to refuel the barrels from the pump which i feel makes sense and making them extremely heavy at full (like wood stove heavy) to then pick them up. At least then you can take them to pump, stock up, load them up, and take them back to base. But also heavy enough that you can't walk around and really use them.

Just feels tedious to have to fill a ton of cans, then take them to base and fill the barrel since you can't move it
Nores Jan 9, 2022 @ 9:37am
imagine complaining about a mod @frack
Kraz  [author] Jan 7, 2022 @ 11:40am
Making them movable with gas would just replace the need for gas cans, it's meant to store gas not transport it.
frack Jan 7, 2022 @ 9:10am
I second @MIttens' suggestion. As it currently stands, since we cannot pick up filled barrels, I don't see that much use for them. Doing multiple trips to a gas station to fill up the barrel little by little doesn't reduce the player's reliance on gas cans, nor does it reduce the amount of work a player needs to do. If I need to do the same amount of work to build a stockpile of gas, I'd rather just do a trip when I'm about to run out since doing half a dozen trips one after another would be incredibly tedious. Though there are other mods that have other solutions to fill this need (AutoTsar's Trailers has gas tank trailers you can fuel directly from a gas pump), putting a drum filled with gas in the back of a truck or trailer doesn't seem too far fetched, right?
Kraz  [author] Jan 5, 2022 @ 9:57pm
@John Wick working fine in singleplayer for me, can't recreate this bug. Only using this and fuel api. Probably a mod conflic
Pusillanimous Kiwi Jan 5, 2022 @ 7:45pm
Also having issues with my barrel's disappearing
Mittens Jan 5, 2022 @ 8:38am
You should make it to where you can pick up a barrel full of fuel it's just 40 Weight
Phantom_PXL(Alyxnna) Jan 4, 2022 @ 1:43am
SO kinda found a bug and i dont know if it happens to do something with one of my mods and dont know where to post a bug report but when i parked my car next to a barrel to syphin the gas to put into the barrel after 2 cans i got a option to add gas to my car from "pump" and proceded to treat the gas barrel like a put and now it has 999/400 gas in it.
Aurora. Jan 3, 2022 @ 7:42pm
Is it possible to fill it directly from the fuel pump?
Bappo Jan 1, 2022 @ 10:57pm
are there any specific conditions other than whats listed to build the barrels? cant seem to find how to build it in game.
Deon ☣ Jan 1, 2022 @ 9:14am
To address the comment from Matt. I can confirm that on my server the restart does not make the barrels disappear. I have both this and FuelAPI added.
FENRIS Jan 1, 2022 @ 6:44am
Can you directly pump the fuel in the barrel or do you have to use Jerry cans ?
ApeToe Dec 31, 2021 @ 9:10pm
Every time my server restarts the barrels despawn, anyone else having this issue?
Dulgrani Dec 31, 2021 @ 9:47am
Can they used to store water as well?
squid Dec 29, 2021 @ 8:47am
When i right click on the barrel I cant interact with the barrel. Know of any mod conflicts?
Javik Dec 28, 2021 @ 1:56pm
seems like the barrels need a working generator to enable taking fuel from them or refuelling cars
BeatlJoe Dec 28, 2021 @ 9:20am
I'm sorry, the error was on the FuelAPI side.
Kiirozu Dec 25, 2021 @ 5:36pm
