This should make the first half of Gaara's leader ability.... essentially a lite version of Naruto's leader ability, except it extends to all deserts instead of just Hidden Sand territory.
( Also if you are wondering where I have been, don't worry I haven't neglected the Naruto mod series' development, Tobirama and the Naruto city-states are coming up next, just that it'll take some time cause I'm mainly helping out with the art for Aldollin's COTR mod, we're working on an updated version of that mod. )
Regarding the Puppet situation, yes sure, I have accepted your request for that reason :> I have a feeling though, that whatever mod is causing this error is interfering with the support units section. But we can discuss that more where you’re going to send me your list.
As for puppets... that's weird, prior to posting this comment, just to make sure I tested the mod again just to make sure everything was working alright, I had no problems creating puppet units. Maybe you might want to do some double-checking on your side to make sure some other mod or something isn't interfering with the process?
I also believe it will be better for more people that I release the updates first so that they can enjoy it, and so that the issues with my laptop will not delay its scheduled release tomorrow. It should be great news for those who love playing this mod too, as they'll essentially be getting new features a day early.
As always, feedback is appreciated, although if I were to change something in the near future (hopefully I don't, but if needed then I hope it'll be a minor tweak), it'll have to wait till my laptop is back running properly in good condition.
Also, puppets are coming in the next update, they're heavily connected to the Sand's shinobi unit. It just made more sense to have puppets, also the extra gold maintenance for captured units was bugging me, hence why i added and made them actual units. ( That and I also rewrote parts of Gaara's leader ability cause of some consistency issues with the lore that I noticed... also to make him more... well let's just say, I like his new leader ability more than the old one, feels more consistent )
Changes will include tweaks on the shinobi units, a slight tweak in the Stucco Buildings, along with other minor things
Just a minor update attempting to shorten the config text of the Shinobi unit~
(Also JimmyQ if you see this, it looks like that was a bug even I was not able to get around, but I think the upcoming tweak should finally solve things)
Also, they're just floated ideas at the moment 😅
But oh boy if I can manage to pull it off, the experience would be epic! (Then we can have a scary Ten-Tails domination victory xD)
For this modding season I'm focusing only on the ninja villages and kage as alternate leaders for now, I actually have another finalized mod series to attend to ( related to a certain popular game released in 2015~ ) after I finish turning the ninja villages into playable civs (and city states). For now, I'm currently working on the Raikage (Bee's brother, the Fourth), so yes the Hidden Cloud is next for release~
I do have a draft mod for the Akatsuki (as a secret society, not a civ), though that's still a WIP regarding how it'll function, and recently I have considered tailed beasts, if I decide add them at some point (assuming I can figure out how to do so) I'd like to think they'll be like permanent capturable barbarian units that you can use, though enemy civs can also capture them from you...
I'll consider if I will work on those once I'm done with that next mod series coming after Naruto
Speaking of which, as for general things to everyone here, I have an update coming tomorrow, just need to change some small text and add another second agenda Gaara has a chance of getting
I have three more major Naruto civs coming next, before I move on to alt leaders and city-states for this modding season~
That being said, I do hope people here enjoy this mod well as well as the other mods of this series, if they do so it's a natural sign that I made this mod well 😊
