In retrospect, I ought to have done this sooner, but here we are.

I have taken the freedom to update update this mod to 3.11.*.

On the one hand can you make a 3.6.1 version its not working for 3.6.1 (I downgraded Stellaris)

naming format got changed a bit in 3.6, basically all the lookups part in the code is broken now.

I don't know if this is Gigastructural Engineering or this mod doing it (probably this one) but all the nations I did not make in the 3.6 game I just started are literally nonexistent. They have no names. So... I'm gonna say no it's probably not compatible with 3.6 yet.

Really like this mod, the names are so much better!
I encountered a small bug when a Fallen Empire awakened (the materialist one): their name changed to just 'of Logic' (missing the first part).
I've also had a typo when becoming the Galactic Emperor: my nation (a machine intelligence) was renamed to 'Galatic Matrix' (missing a c), but I suspect this comes from the main game.

Hi Galle; noticed that one of my ingame countries has an underscore(_) as part of its name.

So I went into your mod localisation file and noticed a missing "_" in the definitions;

the Heavens:0 "the Heavens" should read:

the_Heavens:0 "the Heavens"

Also, fair warning, you will probably need a new save for the new version, as the changes will break already-generated names.

Hey thanks for your work ! While troubleshooting a similar issue in which rebel empires and mercenary companies kept spawning with incomplete names i found a few remaining errors in your mod :

00_empires_names, line 674 : missing "1" in "Bone = 1"
00_empires_names, line 3609 : missing bracket to close "random_weight"
ben_random_names_l_english, line 417 : missing underscore in "the_Heaven" loc key

Really hope this fixes the issue once for all because i really love your mod and don't feel like going back to bland vanilla empires names.

The mod has now been updated for 3.4. This update should also fix the oddities like some empires just being named "United".

Ran into some weird glitches in my most recent game. A resurgent fallen empire was renamed to a file name and the horde successor states had some weird names like "Allied [Species name] Allied".

I know it's an old sci-fi trope, but the empire being named after the species makes no sense for xenophile multi-species empire who probably incorporate 5+ species and have a president who isn't of the original species by mid-game.

The adjective portion of the naming conventions is... a little irksome. Empires that have "league" in their name tend to have "leaguan" as their adjective. I think it's due to how the game itself assigns the adjective, but it's still just weird.

The "people's federation of people" meme aspect is also rather strong.

Overall, good mod though, despite those two aspects. Endorsed

In line 659 of common\random_names\00_empire_names.txt, you forgot to add a "1" to the end of the ""Bone" =" line. Easy enough for the end user to fix, but it's a oddity.

please rename empire_formats.yml so it doesn't overwrite vanilla, please - got a mod conflict with amazing civics: megacorps, there's a country named format.olig_corp.1 in my game now.
