Thank you for the clarification, would you consider updating the text slightly to specify that it applies to the contient your capital is on rather than whatever contient you build it on assuming you build it on a diffrent contient than your capital?

Depends how you define South America vs North America, which is why most people safely lump it into Central America and call it a day, not a big deal either way

But imo wouldn't a trading bonus like that be less powerful than the current bonus? Because if you're on one huge continent you're getting insane bonuses in all of your cities

@Brandon I considered that and may add it in the future but I really don't to put the Panama canal on the other side where it becomes overpowered. Also I am pretty sure that the Panama canal is on North America.

I like the rework, but I think maybe the continental bonus should be replaced by something like extra production and gold for transcontinental trade routes?

I feel that reflects the IRL nature of the Panama Canal better than getting a production/gold bonus on your home continent, since the Panama Canal is on a different continent than America itself.
