Some people just don't know good design when they see it.

GoodBoy, removing the cord would just make the effect exactly like the Hat Protector effects from the 2015 Invasion Update.

The Cords give this effect a unique mechanical aspect that other just-electricity effects do not have. This is unique, and looks very kickass, let's keep it that way.
