Great mod, we never play without it on our server :)
If anyone feels able to take it and keep it supported further - you are free to do so. Feel free to take all the code and do whatever you need with it.
But yet again, I'd like to wait for released version of B42 (not unstable) to fully dive into fixing my mod.
A few answers:
1 MB size limit is hardcoded by develepers for default character save/load procedure. And this mod uses that procedure so it inherits limitations.
Watched VHS and CDs aren't saved for the same issue - default save/load procedure. And yes, I have some thoughts about how to implement this, but that work may require way more work and time that it seems at first glance.
Adout duplicating recipes... again - that's how save/load works. When you use "import (load)" on existing character it just adds all recipes from file right into character without any checks. Yes, I can try and add some methods to check recipes before import to avoid duplicates, but yet again, it will require a lot of time to find all potential bugs like losing recipes or another duplications.
Can't say for sure about weight/nutrition. I had some issues with them but right now I can't recall all details.
"Keep Inventory & Respawn" seems to save even more data than yours (e.g. zombie kills, watched VHS, even unspecified "mod data"). While I like that mod, I'd love to be able to transfer a character between maps, or into a fresh map. It looks like your mod can do that. I'm curious about the limitations though. You already mention not understanding the hair color issue.
Попробую потыкаться по вашей наводке, спасибо
There were no game updates since I tested it last time so I see no reasons for mod to break.
So my answer is 'no'. But I may consider making this possible as an option after next big game update... If I find myself able to do this.

Tell me how it went wrong in your situation? Maybe you tried to export fully equipped character and then import him into another game? In that case gear won't be imported with character. Only skills/perks/recipes are being transferred...
Love the mod btw! makes some of my friends actually want to play
It's kinda complicated. 'Import' feature adds all known recipes and read books to your current character without any filtering. When you creating a new character he know little amount of recipec and read no books. Exporting that character will result in about 16 kb file. If you export that character and then import him on the same character the next export file will be (16+16)=32 kb (roughly). And then 64, 128, 256 and so on. That's roughly counting.
So the problem appears only if you often using "import" for one character (to heal wounds or to clear illness for example). That's the price.
You should not encounter this problem if "import" feature used once on a freshly created character.
Are there any errors in the log when you try to import your character? That information can really help in fixing.
Also check the size of the file with your character in game folder. If the file size is more than 1 MB, then it's the end. Because standart "import" function can process only files that are less than 1 MB in size.
please help!
Well, I haven't tested this mod for a long time now/ Maybe recent game update broke it...
As I understand, it works in singleplayer but doesn't work in multiplayer?
Say, in multiplayer game no one can load a character? Can host save/load characters? Is there a problem just for one player or there are problems for all? Are there any errors popped when trying to save or load?
Thank you for your help though.
First of all, give some more info about problem:
1) Which version of the game do you use (stable or unstable beta)?
2) Does game crash on launching server or after some actions made ingame?
3) Are there others mods enabled on the server?
3.1) Have you tried starting server with only this mod enabled? Does it crash?
4) Would be great to see last lines of the log file when game crashes. Sometimes it really helps to understand the problem.
Right now I have no clue why it's not working for some people... I can only suggest some things to try to fix the problem...
1) Try creating a new game with only this mod enabled and check if Home key works.
- If it works this way, maybe it conflicts with some other mods in your save. You may try to find the problematic mod yourself or just give me your mod list for your save.
2) Also tell me which version of the game you are using? I'm checking on default stable version of the game and it works...
3) Try to fully reinstall the mod:
3.1) Find the mod folder (\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2655563133)
3.2) Unsubscribe from this mod
3.3) Delete the mod folder if it exists after unsubscribing
3.4) Subscribe again and check for mod folder to appear again
3.5) Go into game and try your save again (you may need to add this mod again into your save)
I just came back after a long time and i died and so i tried to get my old save up but the window didn't come, nor i got the red error (It's enabled on my game [singleplayer])
