Having an issue with normal busses not spawning (biofuel spawns fine)

No other public transit mods other than one to auto assign names and colors to lines.

@algernon can you tell me if IPT2 and Transit Vehicle Spawn Delay 1.3 can be used together? You state in the description that they are compatible but IPT2 has not yet been updated to the current game version... Any advice? Thanks...

One thing to note that this issue I had seems to only occur on buses, there are no problems with other public transports as far as I can see.

There is some other thing like the lines are occasionally disconnected but I believe that is caused by the game's path unit limits reaching the max value and doesn't have anything to do with bus spawning issue.

I'm testing this with a city of 80K++ population initially because that's where I noticed this bug happening, but then I tried to make a new game and the bus spawning problem still occurs.

@Witchberry IPT2 is indeed a public transport mod, and one that controls bus spawning... which version are you using (Workshop link)?

After the latest update, this mod seems to introduce a bug where the buses sometimes won't spawn at all. I've already checked by waiting the countdown timer on each depot but the buses still won't show up until the timer is reset again. The only way to make the buses spawn is to delete the line, and redraw them all over again, but that is quite a hassle if I had to do that everytime I load my save.

When I unsub this mod everything seems to be fine again. I hope you look into this when you have some spare time, thanks.

@Marconius Yes, I think that's correct; most (all?) game transfer matching is only by distance, without checking to see if there's a valid path.

I've just checked the game code, and yes, there's nothing special there for trams. So yes, that is indeed a vanilla limitation.

@algernon Okay I went and tried in an (almost) unmodded game and it seems to still happen... so it's definitely not this mod; sorry about that.

The issue seems to be that the game is judging where trams should spawn based on simple distance between the first stop on the line and the depot; it doesn't seem to check for an actual connection.

@algernon Not completely sure, sorry. I tried turning this mod off, then despawning all transit vehicles, which seemed to help, but I'm not convinced it's not happening anymore. It's kind of hard to notice, honestly.

I'll try to do some more clean testing...

@Marconius Thanks, I see a few potential candidates in there - you've certainly got a number of mods that directly affect tram spawning. I'll have a look at their code and see if I can spot anything.

@Marconius This mod is very simple, and doesn't alter any behaviour other than to stop spawning if a timer hasn't been reached. Something like that could only happen if there was another mod also patching the same methods and was interfering; can you post your Compatibility Report ouput so I can see which other mods you have?

I'm having trouble with this mod: having two separate tram networks, each with its own depot, doesn't seem to work with this enabled, trams sometimes spawn in the wrong depot and get stuck. Disabling the mod (and despawning all existing vehicles) fixed the issue.

This mod literally stops all buses from spawning and a message pops up when you click on bus depot that "spawn has been blocked and it jumps from like 45 minutes to 2 minutes and back up and buses never spawn leaving the city lines empty.... Had to remove

@dariogualtieri - exactly the `Vehicle Unbouncher just uses the a different calculation as Vanilla (that have also a unbouncher included) `_after_ the Vehicles are on the road and if they are to close together at a bus stop

@dariogualtieri This mod simply adds a time delay between vehicles emerging from depots. It doesn't do anything beyond that. I'm sorry, I can't really state it any clearer than that.

@dariogualtieri They are very different mods that do different things, so I'm not sure how to answer that question, sorry. This mod simply spreads out vehicles spawning from depots so they don't all rush out at once.

This doesn't work properly. If you delete all the transport using TMPE, then new buses won't spawn on some lines

@StayHungryStayFoolish: I had comments? Not seen any. I did allow Youtube to hide assumable inappropriate comments, but not seen such neither. Weird. Btw: I do change trees on roads via Picker (which has this sub-mod to change stuff). Thanks for the hint, i have seen the reversible tram AI mod and also saw that clus provided already stations for that. But i have not seen much reversible stations in reals life, always saw U-turn areas.

Thank you for clearing that up, thought I was missing something when using TLM.
BTW, sometimes when I delete 1 or more buses on a given line (when they happen to bunch up) they respawn from the depot without delay, even though the counter is active and counting down on the selected depot.
Just wanted to throw that in for you to check out, whenever you have free time :) It happens from time to time, I can't link it to other factors.

Thanks so much for this mod! Been literally looking for this for some time! I noticed in the description it was mentioned that Transport Lines Manager has also the ability to delay spawn rates for depot bound service vehicles, however I don't see that option in that mod. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
