You are definitley right - that's a PZ issue.
However - tried yesterday and this mod alone is - in ANY situation - preferable compared to vanilla fire. There is no reason not to pick it.

I am playing on a low end laptop so... Yeah.
Never noticed how truly awful the vanilla fire effects look nowadays. Been waiting for something like this even since when I started on Build 40.
It's such a small change, and while its not totally up to the development teams own fire revamps they teased a while ago, it really does help make fire less of a goofy effect to laugh at and more akin to a genuine thing you have to be wary of.
Makes me actually want to play with fire weapons now!
