incredible mod. Is there a way to also change the UI files so the balance bar is hidden in Shogun 2 too?

这个会导致大量文本汉化无效,属实没想到。。。但是是个好mod:steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup:

GAME. CHANGER. Anyone struggling with the UI (i.e. some bits are still showing) just make sure this is at the top of your mod list

thank youuuu for this mod:steamthumbsup:

@Benjin I completely agree. This mod is magnificent.
Radscorpion  [author] Jan 26, 2022 @ 6:14am
Haha I know right! Forces you to go the "rather be safe than sorry" path.

Great idea! To have it tied to options like that. CA should definitely add some difficulty like that.

Thanks Benjin, glad you enjoy the mod! :steamhappy:

I knew this mod would be groundbreaking when I first saw you announce the success on Discord, but I never truly knew how much I'd appreciate it until I started using it yesterday when I started my Suebi DeI playthrough. Basically, when I started getting into fights, a funny thing happened... I actually decided to *gasp* play the battles!

I now believe - after this mod - that CA should definitely scrap auto-resolve balance of power / predicted results in Total War, at least on the higher difficulties (e.g. Hard, Very Hard, Legendary) along with an option to toggle it on/off in the campaign settings when playing on a lower difficulty.

I find this idea really awesome, makes the game a lot more interesting. Thx for that.
Radscorpion  [author] Jan 16, 2022 @ 2:39am
Then simply disable this mod when you're not playing on the harder difficulty, and enable it when you do
HGhMA75 Jan 16, 2022 @ 1:22am
this mod just working for difficulty= hard and very hard and legendry , not for easy and normal
Radscorpion  [author] Jan 15, 2022 @ 1:35pm
Thanks! And what do you mean?
HGhMA75 Jan 15, 2022 @ 1:03pm
wow. important mod. i have idea for your mod. can u editing for hard or very hard or legendry difficulty ?
Radscorpion  [author] Dec 22, 2021 @ 2:50pm
Yeah! Luckily I had Jake Armitage to help me with that cause that's way too advanced for me.

Hey awesome! Glad you like it! I will see if Jake has any tutorials already, he might :steamhappy:

wow! hex editing huh? Great job @{LUD} Invade Me ! I made a similar mod for WH2 and was working on a little lua script to improve VARIANVS's version by removing the general predictions.

Unfortunately, Rome2 is not as script friendly as WH2 and it was incompatible with other script mods. I deleted it because your mod blows it out of the water! Either way, let me know if you think my lua script would help you in any way, I'll message it to you.

I hope you guys write a hex editing tutorial, seems like the future for any proper Rome2 UI mods.

Once again, great job and thanks!
VARIANVS Dec 16, 2021 @ 8:44am
No worries and thanks. I basically just am impressed the most by how people actually like this mod, yet back then I just earned negativity for the most part as most people actually just WANT to AR all the time haha. Really funny to be honest seeing that change in playerbehaviour. You do a mod like this also for Attila?
Radscorpion  [author] Dec 16, 2021 @ 7:57am
Ah! My bad. Added you to the credits. The original version didn't have it, but since people wanted it for DEI I updated it but forgot to change description

Thank you! Glad you enjoy the mod :D
VARIANVS Dec 16, 2021 @ 7:09am
I see, thanks for claryfying this. Glad my stuff was of help as well as it wasnt mentioned anywhere in the description haha. I hope a 100% DEI version gonna be doable somehow tho. Wish you all the best and have fun!
Radscorpion  [author] Dec 15, 2021 @ 8:48am
It could perhaps cause problems with DEI as DEI already edits a lot of the UI stuff. So a traditional loc editing + that balance bar is most likely the best we got
Radscorpion  [author] Dec 15, 2021 @ 8:46am
Yeah Varianvs your mod helped me inspire to make this. I borrowed your blank balance of power bar for the DEI version.

Getting rid of UI stuff like the bar itself and percentages and all that is very complicated. You need to do some hex editing. Jake Armitage helped me with that, he's a great UI modder and he's the one responsible for the additional buttons in DEI.

Why it doesn't work with DEI is because he helped me with vanilla UI to remove it. DEI uses the Empire Divided UI. I could ask him to help remove it for that UI as well. Maybe someday i'll update it to work with DEI 100%.
VARIANVS Dec 15, 2021 @ 7:00am
Yes, I could not figure this out back then. I just could get rid of the bar. Great job, sadly not 100% as the remaining forces still are shown with DEI? But why, thats weird that it does work with vanilla.
Black-Jack Dec 3, 2021 @ 5:13am
This is brilliant

Thank you guys! This feedback is wonderful and i'm glad so many people enjoy it!
Thank you for the 100 subscribers mark :steamhappy:
Runwithjosh Nov 14, 2021 @ 7:31am
Finally! a mod that makes me actually play battles instead of just auto-resolving the entire campaign! thank you!:steamthis:
jjpunk Nov 9, 2021 @ 1:58pm
Wow, can't believe this hasn't been made before. This is such an important landmark mod!
Will completely change how it feels to play!
destroyer_br Nov 9, 2021 @ 6:53am
Incredible mod, I've been waiting for a mod like this for a long time, because the battles in percentage are not fair, they serve to speed up the game, but 90% of the campaign time played in cooperative other players only use the automatic battle winning 99% of the Sometimes, and the field battle is unpredictable, depending on your field strategy, even if you have twice as many soldiers on the field you can still suffer many casualties, so this mod is a way to force the player to go into 3d field battles. Good job.:steamthumbsup:

yess
Radscorpion  [author] Nov 7, 2021 @ 3:31pm
- - - - - - UPDATE! - - - - - -
Now with a cleaner UI and also no more remaining forces percentage!
We're truly blind now, boys :steamhappy:
Skyn0s Nov 7, 2021 @ 1:09pm
@Invade Me
Fantastic ! Yeah you have to pay attention cause in fact autoresolve would be not an option, except for the very little battle. Make the game so much more interesting, thank you !
Starsmil Nov 7, 2021 @ 9:03am
This is Brutal )
Radscorpion  [author] Nov 7, 2021 @ 8:31am
@Vic

It should work with most mods. I don't see how there would be any incompatibilities. I'll make sure to update description soon
Radscorpion  [author] Nov 7, 2021 @ 8:30am
@SkynOs

Yep! And now we have to think more about the whole rock-paper-scissors game in Total War. In the screenshot I lost cause I went against horse archers with mostly melee troops, so makes sense that I lost lol

And you'll be happy to know that i'll update the mod to have "remaining forces" removed as well! :D will update it today
Vic Nov 7, 2021 @ 8:02am
Any idea if this works with mods like Radious?
Skyn0s Nov 7, 2021 @ 4:10am
excellent work. It is greatly appreciated by players like me who like to be put in difficulty ;)
Excellent way to be implicated in each battle !
I'm looking forward for the version without the remaining forces ;)
