@Robin Banks it adds a recipe to create a noise maker that has the range of a house alarm (approx 200 tiles) rather than the vanilla noise maker that only has a 15 tile range

@Epsilon-11 The remotes & proximity "bombs" (noise makers included) don't function in MP, they simply won't explode/go off etc, maybe in 42MP it'll get fixed

@viper Noise makers are craft-able items, very rarely you can find them in an engineer story house

@Sideroht yes but not recommended as most of the remote/proximity bombs are broken in MP (a vanilla bug, fingers crossed 42 fixes it)

@OutcastedFrom17SG works fine when I try it with those mods. So what exactly do you you mean when you say "doesn't work", that the recipes aren't showing, that the items are missing, you have the items/recipe but the noise maker when triggered isn't working?

This doesn't work. 41.78.16, with Craft Helper, Mod Manager, Electrical 10 and Debug Mode.

@Tnaz.v in your sandbox settings, set all the population options (pop multiplier, pop start multiplier, pop peak multiplier) to 4 & then set your peak day as 1, that's what is known as 16x population

@Tnaz.v I'm guessing you're trying to ask how I got that many zombs in the video? That's just setting the population to 16x & visiting the Mall carpark, no mods involved with spawning

For those having problems crafting the "remote noise generator" (results wont appear if you search for it in the UI), it is under the Electrical tab listed as one of the "Add Crafted Trigger" (these are several). Brilliantly hidden.

Right, it triggers twice, but not 3rd time. So it's only useful as a decoy, but not as a trap like ambulance is. Alright.

@donut All the vanilla bombs have timed, proximity & remote versions that can be made after you've read the corresponding Electrical magazine.
Volume 4 will get you the recipe for Crafted Trigger. Add the trigger, 2 Elec scrap & 1 unit of duct tape to your Noise Generator & you'll have the Remote Noise Generator

The recipe requires "remote noise generator" which i don't have nor do i have recipe for one. Regular noise maker doesn't work.

@Hermit the MP problems are in the vanilla noise maker still, but they're kinda hit & miss, sometimes the sound plays continuously only for the client who placed it, other times its for everyone on the server, I've even seen it play no sound, but still attract zambs.
Fingers crossed that Engineer gets some love in B42 & it gets 'fixed'

@Karl Marx sounds like the mod isn't activated in your savegame as the base version doesn't have a magazine or profession requirement so searching for "Big" in the crafting window should give you the recipe

@Charming Dazz MP is a solid "um maybe" for some players it works normally for others it plays the sound file indefinitely until you relog. Plus in MP remote triggers are still not working correctly, which was the original way I planned the mod to be used, so the biggest feature of this mod is nerfed to how far you can throw the item or by setting it up with a timer & running away

@Phoenix, Hand Sanitizer Drinker it only adds a new recipe & item, it doesn't change any vanilla assets or distribution, so is 100% safe to add/remove mid save

Plus in MP remote triggers are still not working correctly, which was the original way I planned the mod to be used, so the biggest feature of this mod is nerfed to how far you can throw the item or by setting it up with a timer & running away

@Siberian Frontier its currently unlisted due to noisemakers being bugged in current build of game. When TIS fix throwables (coming soon™) I'll make the mod fully visible again

Love the mod. Would it be possible to get a timer version? Also Noise only lasts 30 minutes, but i play 2 hour days so perhaps that makes sense.

@darkmoriarti - im not currently using your mod right now on our current server save, but I still keep an eye on it

i wish that mod collects could be locked to not update somehow, like a fork of the mod content. it makes it impossible to host a dedicated server when you are using a collection as a means for players to get the mods. if you have 15+ different mods on a sever it gets to the point where you have to shut down and restart too often due to client-side version conflicts

items update at unpredictable intervals, so the only way to can create smooth dedicated server exp is to pick a version and repack the mods they want on the server

i know this is not what authors want but it's really the only way that a dedicated server with more than like 2 people and a few of mods can work.

again, I'm not using your content in a repack but just a thought for creators. I'd sooner just go back to vanilla than deal with the hassle of trying to keep a dedicated server running with mods.
