It looks to be using the animation rig for Harald Hadrada
А войска сперва использовали коловрат, а после лик иисуса.
Не трызуб, а пикирующий сокол, болваны!
Hello
Do you mean to share the Unique District?
I'm not sure where you actually got that quote from, the chronicle of 1141 does not mention the word Rus' anywhere. You either made a mistake or are purposefully being disingenuous.
The modern city of Veliky Novgorod may have only been made after the 10th century, this is true, but what you are ignoring is the original seat of the city of Novgorod, today called Rurikovo Gorodische, which, according to archeological findings, was a major trading hub in the 8th century. You are also forgetting about Staraya Ladoga, which, according to the Hypatian Codex, Rurik initially settled in prior to Novgorod. According to archaeological findings, Ladoga is also from the 8th century.
According to the chronicles, while it is true that Novgorod, Kiev, and all the other major cities had their own autonomy from eachother, they were all considered part of Rus', here is a quote from the Primary Chronicle: "On account of these Varangians, the district of Novgorod became known as the land of the Rus'."
The Mongol rule on the territory of Ukraine lasted a little more than 100 years, and yet Ruthenia continued to exist - the Principality of Galicia-Volhynia, and later the Lithuanian-Ruthenian era began, which grew into the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. And the Mongols' rule over Muscovy lasted until the 15th and 16th centuries.
According to the chronicles, Ruthenia (Rus') and Novgorod were separate "states" that were united only by trade (In the chronicle of 1141 we read: "And when Svyatoslav fled from Novgorod to Rus to his brother, Vsevolod sent to meet him." That is, Novgorod is not Ruthenia (Rus').
peace
Thank you for those of you who have patience explaining things to those who dont.
@Knjaz, @Nochill really, thank you a lot!
@[NZKD] Katz, thanks so much! It took a while, but it was worth it!
There was no ill intentions in creating this mod. We were trying to create a decent mix of historical accuracy and gameplay.
All the nations in the world have common history. All the nations in the word have been something completely different. It pains to see how eagerly we forget the common and make enemies out of brothers(
I personally wish each and everyone of you the very best!
Rurik (as the name might suggest) was scandinavian (also known as varangian more towards constantinople).
All of the nations in the region from finno-urgic over baltic to slavic have some connection in that regard. Take pride, but take pride in reality.
This is a civ mod and one which i much appreciate.
The word kremlin is an ancient East Slavic word, there is no reason for it to not be used
Also, if you actually read a simple history book you would see that Rurik had the capital in NOVGOROD, which if you dont know is a city in current day Russia, so none of the claims you made here are true.
Typical representation of russian propaganda, mod creators are from Russia, not Ukraine.
Keep that in mind, don't fall to Kremlin propaganda.
Glory to Ukraine!
When I play as them they have their own set of city names rather than American ones, probably a bug with another mod you have on
that is an interesting way to view it, I personally have no problems with keeping the bogatyr as the swordsman considering it has been part of russian folk legends that have pre-dated kievan rus', but I fully understand where you are coming from.
Isnt the men-at-arms mostly meant to represent high medieval ages around the 14th century? I think replacing the swordsman makes the most sense as it is supposed to represent a character from Russia around the year 800
you can easily look in the description of this mod to see why they included the kremlin, but since you do not know how to see that, I will send a simple wikipedia article here.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kremlin_(fortification)
btw, kiev got completely ravaged and destroyed by mongols while novgorod, which is in modern day russia was spared, so you have zero historical backing to your claims
I hope you and your team the best for future projects! This one was great!
During the time of Rurik the capital was Novgorod
Why no't Kiev? xd
@brandon unfortunately no. That was a one time project.
@Bombermans I dont thinks so. There is unlikely that there will be more civ mods unfortunately from us, due to engagement in other projects.
