@Jakori basically it's a debug spell for if you -somehow- wind up starting in a province that doesn't immediately give you an Iron Bog

What happened to my necromancers? They became husks which totally wrecked the game.

This happens when you start a modded game and retire. After retiring when trying to start another modded game, for some reason the mod isn't loaded.

Not sure why this happens. Just know that you have to completely exit the game if you want to start another modded session

Sometimes when i start as Necromancer I have the new starting units mentioned in the notes, but other times I have regular spearmen and archers, what is the reason for that?

I found out what the problem was, they already moved that turn and i didnt notice.

Now im struggling with the enchanter ability "Emergency Swampification" no idea how it works, it just spawns a tower

Is it just your goblin archers, @Jakori? Cuz that doesn't sound right, purely from a mechanical standpoint. Experience level shouldn't be giving just one type of unit a slower speed.

I might have missed something, but why do my goblin archers get slower when they are experienced?

From a normal 3 speed on the map, to a solid 1.....

Burnout is finally starting to fade, so I'm thinking about the waste of time from fixing everything from scratch again.

Unfortunately, that also means that I once again need a spriter because the last person to offer ghosted me and Herb still isn't playing ball. Oh, well. The benefit of starting from the last published patch is that I can just ignore the monkeys or only make minor changes.

I havn't played the Dwarf race under this mod so I don't know how the machanics work. From what you described it sounds like the base unit that is used to upgrade to higher tier units is the "Dwarf" and you're wondering if it can instead be the "Dwarf Worker" that is used?

I don't know a mod that fixes this but it would require a slight bit of work changing the recruitment options and their requirements. Not too much work though. Commisar has a tutorial guide on how to create mods that really helped me out.

You should try taking a swing at it and see

Dwarf race required dwarfs to upgrade troops rather than dwarf workers. I love this mod and want to use it though does anyone know a way to fix this or a mod that fixes it?

To answer the burning question (pun not intended):
My rig burned down about six weeks ago due to losing the silicon lottery, taking down my work, backups, and half of the tile in my office. While I could start over from the last version on my laptop or after my Thanksgiving trip to the US, I'm honestly not feeling it on account of the data loss."

So yeah, the mod is done being updated from here on out.

The belated answer is yes, it is. However, if you want some additional updates to this mod that were made by another mod maker, look at: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2928095458 It does change a number of things, including putting caps on how many economic improvements most factions can make. It's balanced for multiplayer, as I understand it.

Thanks! I've been using those a lot the only problem is that they don't come labeled, only the monster image an unrelated number for the title. The wiki I found is helping a bunch

no worries. by the way would you happen to know of any wiki that lists the monsters in this game? I would like to match a monster name I see in the code to an image of the monster if possible.

That must be a result of an update, as I distinctly remember much complaining about the AI drowning people in chaff.

I figured out why the necromancer apprentices don't spam grave robbing. It's because they're hard coded to follow the necromancer and be their insanity meat shield.

I tested this and created a lvl 1 Necromancer commander who can't level up. They AI now uses this commander mainly for grave robbing.

Take some weeks to get your things together, something like this is devastating.
I have had something similar happening with a harddrive and some music I was composing on for a couple years on it (since I couldnt afford backups at the time).
Its a biiiiig oof and needs some time to digest.

@Commisar Jon Fuklaw do you keep your mod files on github? It would also make it easier for us to add contributions to the mod so you're not the only one developing it. You'll have to approve the changes obviously before it gets merged
