Fixed! Thanks for pointing that out. I never use bigger than 1x1 doors so I never accounted for it.

I don't think this is working for ornate doors.... Or it is somehow differently making right under those doors 0% light.

Looks like it worked! I did have to force re-install before it did, but now I've got a nice even transition around my doorways.

It would be really good if you fixed the below. Have to reset doors to close then open again on game restart, like he said. But a great mod nonetheless! ty

Gotta say, I did NOT know how important this mod had become to me until I tried to play without it again.

Minor bug if you want to look into it... If you keep doors locked open (I have several stone doors that subdivide my base that I keep in a locked-open state 99% of the time) the light will not pass through until they're closed and open again. This is the case on loading a save each time, and needs to be reset each time. I's mostly noticeable in one spot of my base, but if you have a fix for it that'd be amazing.

Updated. It's not as nice as it used to be, but it does work and uses the built in lighting system, so it should be much better performance than in the past!

With the introduction of unnatural darkness from Anomaly DLC this mod is INCREDIBLY necessary to prevent putting tons of lamps everwhere.

I would favor also the option of OBrien, I only need this mod in very specific circumstances (I play with Darkest Night, there are shadows spawning in the night from time to time). At least add it as an option?

Wouldn't a simple solution be to have this only apply to doors being HELD open? Then you won't suffer the performance drag of every door updating constantly, but some doors can be held open to let light in. I use doors expanded and the 1x3 remote doors would be great if they let light in, but I don't have any desire to let light in through every door every time it opens/closes

I think there may be an opportunity for caching the light level, though I'm not sure how that would be done, or if it can be lol.

I don't think it made the performance any better tbh, I could try slowing the updates down a bit and test it out though. :)

@Jelly: Did this reupload improve performance at all? I remember trying this mod ages ago and even though some comments say performance degrades significantly into the 100's-doors style bases, even small bases got a noticeable performance drop for me, to the point I had to stop using it.

Honestly, not even sure if there is a way to increase performance, other than reducing updates per tick, but that may break the ability for the light to get through in time to matter.

I'd prefer that opened doors DO cause disturbed sleep.That's realistic, and it encourages separate bedrooms.
