What's the difference between to Never Generate Relations?

my god yes, i am at the end of my playthrough so im just going around killing hostile bases with my gravship but even before that it seems like every raid/base/anything with enemies theres at least 3 pawn relations which when i can hit a base every 2 days makes it impossible to keep my pawns happy and i just had 3 of them kill eachother and another go catatonic because of pawn relations

It is simply impossible to play when 1 of my colonists lost 27 relatives in 1 major battle. Must have mod for now

Yea I just got a whopping 30 day -50 mood for a single colonist from a SINGLE raid with the guy having 10 relatives show up all at once! Thank god theres a mod for that

i tried to avoid this, but the last straw was a samurai raid having a lover of a colonist, then a settler raid 2 days after having the daughter of the same colonist, casual -36 for one month for no reason

@Phantomz I am pretty sure that is an issue with Harmony/Prepatcher on Mac not working right now. I have heard other people having issues with mods in general on Mac with the current version. This has nothing to do with this mod

The mod is not working after the update... I use a mac tbf but it worked perfectly for 1.4 and 1.5. I tried running the game with just this mod and harmony or prepatcher and no luck.

Oh, final comment, I have removed the requirement for having hugslib, the only requirement now is either Harmony or Prepatcher.

Ok Folks, it is done. I have officially updated the mod to 1.6. No major additions have been added, but I do hope to have some introduced sometime in the future. For now, I have mostly just made the mod compatible with 1.6, and fixed any issues I discovered in testing, which luckily, was not very much. Obviously if anyone has any issues, make sure to leave a comment, otherwise, hope you enjoy!!

my initial pawns that had no relation with each other got married a year into the game, and a year later a 15 year old son they had shows up from another faction, completely ruining my immersion lmao. i have to use this mod so thanks for keeping it updated

Thank you so much for all your hard work! I can't play without this mod anymore ever since the time I crashlanded with a 14 year old girl, and a few years later the game generated her a pre-existing husband from before the crash. Knowing an update is coming is wonderful!

For anyone wondering this mod does seem to work fine on 1.6 at the moment. Amazing must have mod btw, the game feels insane at times without it.

This is one of the best simple mods, hard to properly RP the crash landed pawns on a new world without it. Wild that the base game even allows pre-designated relations aside from the few extra pawns designated as left-behind in the beginning.

Rather than not having any relations at all I would have some sort of slider. Giving me more control. For me, I would think a rate of 10% of the vanilla rate of relations would be ok.

@D Ok so in this case No Random Relations is not affecting this situation you are having, this is instead just Rimworld being Rimworld. I would say the best way to try and get the colonists back you lost would be to use a mod like Simple Warrants, and place a warrant for the colonists you lost from the previous colony to get them back. They are very likely still out there, just hiding. But to properly answer your question, no, this mod shouldn't affect pawns in a situation such as this

After the ArchoNexus quest, a lot of the pawns from previous colony still are in my pawns' social tabs. But even after several years of going through the faction bases, calling caravans, slave traders, etc, I have never seen them again.
Is it normal for them to never appear again or is this mod somehow conflicting with it?
How would you go about adding a chance for the old pawns to appear again in random caravans (or raids, if they now belong to a hostile faction)
I expect this would be a new mod (if it does not exist already) and outside the scope of this one.
