It's very likely I will make one at some point.

When the core of the mod is finished, making different starting scenarios will be easy.
Pnstratmd 28. juli 2024 kl. 2:53
Hey man, absolutely fantastic mod! Love it, could you please, after you're done with this one, make a mod about the Peloponnesian war sequel, the Corinthian war? It would be cool to lead spartan armies into Asia minor to fight the Persians and to victory over the anti spartan alliance in Hellas proper, and the allied and Persian fleets and armies against the Spartans in a conflict which would shape the Greek world for decades to come. Please, from a fellow Greek history enjoyer, consider it at least

One of the most awaited mods...

Hi, can you unlock all faction plaese? would be great!!
Great work
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 16. maj 2023 kl. 3:15
It (will) include everything from the main overhaul but it's designed to be enabled only when you play the WoS campaign (to avoid compatibility issues between campaigns).

Development has been ongoing for both the basic overhaul and Menos and I am preparing updates for both, this month.
Tyler 15. maj 2023 kl. 14:29
Can this be used with your Anagenesis mod? Is development still ongoing for this as well?
заебись 2. nov. 2021 kl. 8:38
cool mod but agents and temples fall out of the game if you can't change the culture
Hetairoi 30. okt. 2021 kl. 14:30
So far, this is excellent. Great work! I'd also love to see a Corinthian War overhaul in the future. If it's anything like this, it'll be great.
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 11. okt. 2021 kl. 20:33
I have thought about it but it's tricky to make it realistic in the Peloponnesian War context. Displacing native populations of acquired territory was rare to non existent, even by Persians. But I do have some ideas for a proper implementation.
ThePoshBarbarian 11. okt. 2021 kl. 14:44
do you have any intention to allow cultural conversion for WoS? it doesn't work in vanilla or your fix pack, so i was wondering if you would do it in this mod?
Jelqking 7. okt. 2021 kl. 19:48
that's fucking sick!
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 7. okt. 2021 kl. 3:27
The Pyrrhic War is being developed by a team I am part of, but it's a secret project ^^
Jelqking 6. okt. 2021 kl. 23:45
Have you thought about eventually adding the Pyrrhic War or The Macedonian Wars?

I really appreciate what you're doing, and keep up the good work!
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 4. okt. 2021 kl. 14:07
Menos mod is not finished, I still work on it. What you see here is only a fraction of what will be in the final version

But other than the Peloponnesian War I had some thoughts about Corinthian War and Theban Hegemony sure. But it's not in the plans for now.
Car2790 Phadanomare 4. okt. 2021 kl. 12:47
Hey I have a question, a few weeks ago I asked you if you would do a mod about the Corinthian war and you told me that you would do one of the Theban hegemony and the battle of Leuctra, but that it would not be soon soon but I have a doubt, will you do more mods using the Wrath of Sparta map?
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 30. sep. 2021 kl. 14:15
So, all this time greek generals were missing their cloak-compatible linothorax... This is embarassing

Gonna update in a minute
Sturmervdw 28. sep. 2021 kl. 9:22
Wow thank you so much I shall do :)
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 28. sep. 2021 kl. 9:17
Sure, send me a friend request. I will send you a pack that allows light hoplites
Sturmervdw 28. sep. 2021 kl. 8:09
Would it be a quick thing to do using the Pack File Manager?
Sturmervdw 28. sep. 2021 kl. 8:07
Lol ok yeah I could not find the light hoplites for Corinth and I thought I was missing something. Yes I saw them for the northern factions which was awesome thanks.
I hope this doesn't come across rudely, but I would really like to add back the light hoplites to Athens for the time being and have spent the day researching how to do this, I'm not much of a modder myself lol. Would you be able to please let me know how I would be able to do this? with all due respect for your mod :)
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 28. sep. 2021 kl. 7:44
Ah, if you looked at custom battles, I forgot to remove them from there. Although at first I wanted Light Hoplites for Corinth specifically, to represent allies from Epirus, but the garrison would get messy.

Not sure if you have seen it but I gave light hoplites to the northern guys and their garrison. Not final decision, just a quick one to represent the slightly lower quality of hoplitic warfare from there.
Sturmervdw 28. sep. 2021 kl. 3:56
Wow, I look forward to the new edromoi I think that will add more diversity to the battlefield. I just want to say thank you for this mod I really appreciate the hard effort and it is cool. Also what you say is very interesting and it's always awesome when historical stuff gets implemented.
I would just like to ask though, how do I recruit light hoplites as Corinthos?
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 28. sep. 2021 kl. 2:33
Certainly, the increase of light infantry's importance led to the use of "light hoplites" (ekdromoi). I plan to represent this with a new unit with new unit card that will have to be enabled by a later technology. The mod is far from finished.

It's true however that during the start of the campaign Athenians mainly used archers to counter light infantry. As Thucydides tells us, during Demosthenes' Aitolian campaign in 426, when the athenian archer unit routed, there was no way to counter the enemy javelinmen.

Spartans used their younger men who emerged from the phalanx and charged towards the peltasts.
Sturmervdw 28. sep. 2021 kl. 1:41
Hi, would like to ask, how come light hoplites were removed from Athens unit roster? Did they not historically have light hoplites to counter-act enemy peltasts? I would really love to see them put back :)
Sturmervdw 25. sep. 2021 kl. 13:11
Hi, can you please enable all wrath of sparta factions in custom battle with this mod? I have another mod to do it but when it is enabled with Menos, it does not work.
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 10. sep. 2021 kl. 1:05
Nice, I prefer them that way too
Car2790 Phadanomare 10. sep. 2021 kl. 0:30
Will you leave the unit cards as they are or will you put them in the Hellenika style?

Personally, I like the ones from the vanilla game better
Warriordude 7. sep. 2021 kl. 17:21
Maybe have the Hoplites hold spear overhanded. The Hellenika mod has Hoplites holding spear overhanded in Phalanx formation. I think they look better overhanded, not sure if Historically accurate but they look cool, if not no big deal.
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 7. sep. 2021 kl. 2:08
For the new units that are going to be added, of course. Athenian Hippeis, Aitolian peltasts, decals on cards for famous city emblems, etc etc

And obviously I am not happy with battles yet, a lot of work is needed
Warriordude 6. sep. 2021 kl. 20:59
You thinking about adding unit cards?
SirCartonDeWiart 5. sep. 2021 kl. 8:29
What about naval battles, any improvements?
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 4. sep. 2021 kl. 9:21
Good point, I will remove the barracks from technology ui, easy to do.

The diplomatic penalty from taking the big cities is a fitting mechanic in my opinion - but I am trying to improve it and I have in my to-do list a mechanic that capitulates a faction when capturing their capital, since the factions in this campaign are the city states themselves.

For now, f you seek to beat your opponent, capture their territories leaving the capital for last and then subjugate them. That's close to how it happened.
Euryanax 4. sep. 2021 kl. 6:06
Thank you for your fun mod! Trained Spartan warriors rule land battles. What you've done with the buildings and tech are all interesting. Except why allow for the invention of barracks if you can't build them? I can only get my Spartan warriors at Sparta (which I suppose makes sense). Too, I know the original DLC penalized you for taking Athens, Corinth and Thebes, but what's the point of war with Athens if you can't take their city? Too, there is nothing especially noteworthy taking those three capitols. Maybe add a special unit to each to make them worth grabbing? Perhaps the Sacred Band at Thebes? One last comment. The AI is still pretty dumb. It runs all over the map without doing much and when they do attack me it's with armies of 4-5 units that my garrisons usually destroy. Not all AI armies are small, but most are. Not sure how you fix that, but thought I'd mention it. Again thank you for sharing your work!
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 4. sep. 2021 kl. 2:54
To add sword to hoplites was one of the first changes in the mod

...unttil I realized it doesn't work properly because it makes swords float in the air in phalanx formation

When this is fixed I will add them again
Car2790 Phadanomare 3. sep. 2021 kl. 14:20
I don't know if you know how to do it but you could make the hoplites use the sword too
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 28. aug. 2021 kl. 13:01
Thanks for the suggestion. I am thinking about it :)
Devil May Cry 28. aug. 2021 kl. 9:06
The HCP unit overhaul had tunics like that v for the Spartan Krypteia perhaps you could ask them for permission to use the assets?
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 27. aug. 2021 kl. 2:35
We have this tunic in the game but we don't have a greek skin/body to match. All greek and roman bodies have invisible torso unfortunately.

But I still have this idea in my to-do list
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 21. aug. 2021 kl. 14:42
Sure, we can chat about some modding stuff. And thanks for the kind words
Luskainn 21. aug. 2021 kl. 14:22
This is a very talented MODER. I'd like to have the pleasure of asking you a few questions to help me refine my own ancient Greek MOD,The Peloponnesian War. For example, how to make Athens siege map from GC now in WoS and Acropolis wonder on campaign map.I've been struggling with this problem for a long time.
Since I've been working on that MOD myself for over three years, with over 10,000 changes and thousands of hours of hard work. If you think my work might be useful to your MOD in some way, please let me know if I can help. Best regards from China.:Imperiums:
Vaskonios 3 20. aug. 2021 kl. 6:50
Oh ok, splendid!
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 19. aug. 2021 kl. 23:03
@Aristoxenus You will see the unique map of Athens, with the Acropolis and other structures. The port is not represented very well but that's what we have for now

@Maou it will in some cases! For the better I believe
Outsider 19. aug. 2021 kl. 18:13
Oh at last a promising overhaul for the often negleted WoS campaign!
I am curious on how this mod will affect the development of your GC overhaul, though, I was looking forward to its next update!
Vaskonios 3 19. aug. 2021 kl. 17:12
Interesting the port of Athens, if someone attacks it from naval battle mode, would we see this long way? I mean, would we see a small port linked to the main City?
Olympia005 19. aug. 2021 kl. 13:43
εξαιρετικός σύντροφος mod :steamhappy:
Athanasios95gr  [ophavsmand] 19. aug. 2021 kl. 9:30
Of course
There is still a lot of work to be done, in all aspects
Dimo 19. aug. 2021 kl. 9:16
would you be able to overwhaul the ai so the battles feel more historical

StephenHawking 18. aug. 2021 kl. 15:39
