I see that it lets me 'recruit' them at the camps, but they don't seem to appear anywhere and I can't spawn them via recruit lords or through the ogre reinforcements thing all armies have.

I know from experience that that can indeed happen, but I don't have a mod that alters Goblin textures.

@Shadow_Volkamon: The goblin units are straight from the base game, we don't touch their stats or textures so I think this issue is from another mod.

Nice. Only thing keeping me from using it is that it seems their Goblin units have missing textures.

The mod is really incredible, what bothers me a bit and I think it should be changed is the line of army skills of the ogre lords, so that they are generic improvements that allow these 2 types of ogre lords to fit into any faction (an improvement to all melee infantry, one for ranged infantry/cavalry, one for cavalry and chariots, one for general monstrous units, and one for artillery). I'm playing a campaign with norsca and it's a bit annoying that these ogre lords don't buff my norscan units at all; if I want to get the most out of them I would have to use these ogre lords in armies made up mostly of mercenary ogres, which is difficult as well as less fun. For the rest, the mod is fantastic :D I hope I'm not annoying with this comment xd

Appreciate it. Wanted more spice with my Ogre mercenarys, this certainly does the trick. Was tired of getting the same 4 variations every other occurance lol

This mod looks really good, the only letdown are the cards imo some of them fits with the artstyle of the game, others not so much. Also, I noticed other factions are hiring Ogres as well, they are everywhere, is there a way to limit their recruitment through caps or something of the kind?

@dassh99: Sorry to disappoint you, but now that we have playable ogre factions in WH3 and modding support + Immortal Empires on the horizon, i don't think anybody would want to spend time creating content for WH2 that will soon be in the WH3 base game anyway.

I would say making a new faction of ogres will be worth it since WH3 right now has no playable WH2 faction so having a fully operational ogres faction in WH2 is a joy to play because you won't see any ogres fighting any major faction from WH2 in WH3 except only for Kislev and Chaos also my fear of CA fcking up again in the future is still looming around since right now Mod support is non existent in WH3.

The problem was with the Id number. I had to put totally diffrent and "random" numbers at it worked.

@hperezw_6: Hi there, building_units_allowed_tables should be the only table required to add the units. Have you made sure to set a new unique numerical key for your new entry in the column "Key"? The column "Faction" should be empty, column "enabled" should be false.

Hello sir,


I'm trying to give beastmen the ability to recruit this units but not from the herdstone buildings from your other mod, which is great btw. I'm using it, but for personal use and fun I would like to be able to recruit them from normal horde buildings.

I edited the building_units_allowed_tables I put another building for example "wh_dlc03_horde_beastmen_herd_2" adding another row not replacing the original but it doesn't seem to take any effect.

Any suggestions?

I've done this a couple of times and it has workd specially changing the buildings from other mods like the "dragon ogres for beastmen" and it worked.

I tried checking the tables from other similar mods but I can't figure it out.

It mentions something about mutiny if they are not immortal..does this mean a skill spent in it or not? Reason being I have my immortality mod so I wanna experience mutinies if I run out of cash but I usually spend a point in immortality as soon as possible

@Fröb: Yeah. Seems to be the case. Currently doing an Ogre campaign now with that new Ogre lord mod. Been having a blast using Ogres with Gor support.

@3nz3r0: No, the units from my 'Elite Ogre Mercenaries' mod are not included in 'Expanded Roster - Ogre Kingdoms'. ;) If you still saw them in the ogre camp you must have subscribed to my mod.

when i put lord on ogre camp the event doesnt trigger what tribe to choose? he just sat on it and next turn the same thing?

Hi, thanks for the mod. If you hire an ogre general for the tomb kings, then in the pool of mercenary generals he has the avatar of the tomb king and not the ogre.

@pew pew They should just be added to your regular lord pool under the Ogre Lord tab. You might need to scroll to find them, though.
