if I put the same civilization, but with a different leader, do they still have the historical position?

@skylar thank you for the detailed instructions! I have in mind a medieval-start game with this map so Jerusalem has been a great addition. I think I'll find something suitable for Persia and India region and try to add them myself. There is a Seljuks civ mod which can be a good addition for the Persia area. The game itself fortunately has many other medieval civs to fill the world! :)

@civisterra : It wouldn't be a bother! In fact I'm looking to add more TSL for custom civs; it's just that there are so many custom civs I don't know which ones to add haha. So for now I take requests for custom civs TSL.

If you really want to do it yourself, you will first need two pieces of information:
1. the CivilizationType of the custom civ you want to add
2. the map coordinates of location you want the civ to start at.

To get (1), you will probably have to look into some .sql files in the custom civ mod. To get (2), follow these instructions [forums.civfanatics.com].

Then you can open up map.xml of this mod and add a line with the above info and you're done!

I would still appreciate the instructions, however, so that I don't have to bother you each time I fancy a new custom civ! :)

@civisterra: Yes, there is. It is very easy. In fact it is so easy that I just did it, tested it and uploaded a new version :)

You may need to unsubscribe and subscribe again for the mod to update.

Is there a way to add a custom civilization (TCS Jerusalem) with a TSL? If so, how do I do that?

I already started another new game now, but I'll check it later. Thank you for answer!

@Amure: Thank you for the report! When I ported this map from Civ 5 I didn't realise that in Civ 6 the silver resource can only appear on desert or tundra tiles, unlike in Civ 5 where it can appear on hills as well.

Anyway, in my test games, I was able to mine the hill silver once the woods have been chopped down first; maybe you can try this as well? Please let me know if it works. (If not, I'll update the map to remove all these invalid silver.) Thank you!

I played Byzantine, and I tried to mine the silver on a plain hill-forest tile but I can't.
(of course I can't mine the salt on floodplain also)
When I activate a Cheat Map Editor, it says "DENIED. Invalid feature under improvement."

@Amure: is the resource on a floodplain? If so, the resource cannot be mined (see Known Issues above). If not, can you tell me which civ you're playing as and what resource you're referring to? I'll have a look at it.

Good with NFP civs, but currently I can't build a mine on resources.

This is so coooool

@Jewlius Caesar: what civ did you choose to play as?

Hey I tried to launch this map 3 times, but each time none of my units are on the map. I followed your set up.

@Drahzev, thank you for letting me know :)

Hope you are having fun with the map :D

Nice map. Thanks.

Regarding the positioning of the civilizations of the NFP : I just did a game that included Gaul and its placement worked correctly.
