Slap this line into the script.ini config, just above the end, and it will consider the locomotive as a coal powered one.

$TRAINGROUP_LOCOMOTIVE_STEAM

Surely it would be better to accept that the vanilla scale is imperfect and just try to match that as much as possible, rather than to be technically correct but looking wrong in the game?

Steam trains currenlty not implemented in game and so water as a resource so it's not possible to make train use coal as a fuel.

ah ok it have to refuel only in diesel station no separated water and coal
can you advice a more related mod for refueling

This train emit smoke because by game logic it's a diesel train

I used real life measurements and it is as wide as real one, which is 3.3m wide. The problem with vanilla models and some modded because it's a common thing for them to be wrong size.

Nice model, but have you scaled it down? The model is noticeably narrower than other locomotives and rolling stock in the game, whereas in reality it was considerably wider.
