Is this mod compatible with tiny planets? I can't seem to get amazonian rivers to spawn with anything but default world size.
Doomchibi Aug 22, 2023 @ 10:21pm
Would this be compatible with grand rivers reborn or would they likely have issues working together on world generation?
CTH2004 May 21, 2023 @ 1:23pm
@TheGoofyOne
which mod?

@I want die
Simple, because it adds rivers that are large enough to build entire bases one
TheGoofyOne  [author] May 21, 2023 @ 11:26am
That's correct. No heavier structures. There is a mod for that though :)
Scythe May 20, 2023 @ 8:06pm
@CTH2004 why on earth would it, its just world generation
CTH2004 May 2, 2023 @ 2:01pm
quick question: does this add anything to build heavier structures over water for entire bases in the river? thanks!

I was able to find them thanks! They weren't showing up at first because my map was too small, so now I know that if I want them I have to do a bigger map. Thanks to you I also learned huge rivers exist, somehow never saw them before :winter2019joyfultearsyul:
TheGoofyOne  [author] Oct 17, 2022 @ 7:38am
Thought about what I said and after reviewing the mod code, is does not replace Huge River, it creates a larger river to go before Huge. Just to clarify.
TheGoofyOne  [author] Oct 16, 2022 @ 6:46pm
Check next to large lakes and oceans. Rivers are largest there. It replaces HUGE river on the maps. Turn your rainfall up and you should see more. Sometimes it takes a few maps to find one.
MercuryRiver Oct 16, 2022 @ 10:50am
How do you find them, does it show a larger river on the map or say Amazonian River when you click the tile? I haven't been able to find any through multiple tests and its probably just a mod incompatibility but I'm also wondering if I might just be searching for them the wrong way
TheGoofyOne  [author] Oct 6, 2022 @ 12:22pm
Updated to 1.4
Vengeance of York Supreme Jul 9, 2022 @ 2:59am
@lazlo you can go into the dev mode and pick the terrain editor and change the tiles yourself, it's slow but better than nothing
TheGoofyOne  [author] Jan 22, 2022 @ 11:20am
Not that I know of no. You could use a terraforming mod to change it is all I can think of.
Lazlo Jan 21, 2022 @ 6:52pm
Is there a way to stop the generation of shallow water on the rivers? I'd like to have the whole thing be at least chest deep.
TheGoofyOne  [author] Dec 23, 2021 @ 12:39am
No, it would only be at the mouths of the standard rivers, at large lakes or oceans and not the whole length of the river, it replaces the vanilla huge river and changes it values, but it will not show larger than one tile on the world map. The main effects are how big it is on a playable map, like in the screenshots.
Saya Dec 22, 2021 @ 6:59pm
@TheGoofyOne but when I kick up the rainfall isn't then everywhere a big amazonian river?
TheGoofyOne  [author] Dec 22, 2021 @ 2:09pm
@Saya - Yes you can, but any old saved game/world would have already been generated without the Amazonian River, so it would have no effect on your current world. It will be available on your next world generation though. And kick up rainfall to have a better chance at finding one, they are rare :)
Saya Dec 22, 2021 @ 12:07pm
Is it possible to add this mid game?
I don't think it will go well but i don't know
TheGoofyOne  [author] Oct 28, 2021 @ 5:53am
ahhhh ty
Gyger Oct 28, 2021 @ 5:44am
@TheGoofyOne You can thank the description of the Epic Rivers mod for that.
TheGoofyOne  [author] Oct 28, 2021 @ 4:38am
@Gyger - TYVM! I'm putting this into the description because I didn't even know this and it's great to know!!!!
Gyger Oct 28, 2021 @ 1:19am
You can get Amazonian rivers easily, You just need to increase rainfall during world generation.
puiu102006 Oct 13, 2021 @ 2:50am
sheesh, relax crazyoatmeal. Big rivers have always been a nearly must have whenever i look for a base spot. Great job Thegoofyone, you did it right by making them really rare. It just makes it a better feeling when you find one :)
TheGoofyOne  [author] Oct 10, 2021 @ 7:15am
This is Fun :) What's with the BS numbers instead of usernames?
KhanKanin Oct 10, 2021 @ 1:53am
Yo, that's dope.
Ambit Oct 8, 2021 @ 9:22pm
Relax dude, it's a RimWorld mod. It's not costing you anything to use or not use it.
TheGoofyOne  [author] Oct 8, 2021 @ 4:30pm
Same as Vanilla you have to search for a huge river, I've just replaced the river name and size..........
CrazyOatmeal Oct 7, 2021 @ 10:05am
What's the point of this mod if you have to search five whole fucking planets for one tile
TheGoofyOne  [author] Sep 17, 2021 @ 5:51am
Nope. The Amazonian River is a very rare occurrence. Sometimes I have to refresh like 5 or more times to see one on the planet. Always check near big lakes or oceans as they only go on for a bit before they get smaller.
Rosie Sep 17, 2021 @ 5:20am
is this mod broken? cant find it anywhere :(
TheGoofyOne  [author] Sep 11, 2021 @ 2:24am
TYVM
Lurmey Aug 15, 2021 @ 11:25am
@TheGoofyOne if you still have the save where the screenshot was taken you can see the seed on the world map. Just select any tile and go to the "World" tab if I recall.
TheGoofyOne  [author] Aug 7, 2021 @ 11:17pm
It's a rare thing to have an Amazonian River. :)

I only used default planet gen, and I see them 1 out of 5 or so world gens I would say. I thought about turning it up, but thought, how rare is the actual amazon? 1 on the planet we call Earth so ................ yeah. I left it. Search for the rarity makes sense. All love.
WillDigForFood Aug 7, 2021 @ 11:10pm
Yeah, I've found about 2 across maybe 12 world-gens.

If you're using My Little Planet to save your processor from heatdeath, you may need to sob and up the size of the planets you're generating - I've never seen one on a planet smaller than 75% size.
TheGoofyOne  [author] Aug 7, 2021 @ 7:42pm
I'm sorry NerdCuddles I don't ever save my seed names :(
TheGoofyOne  [author] Aug 7, 2021 @ 7:38pm
They aren't real common. You just have to click on the river to see what size it is. I usually have to roll a new map a few times and check around seas and big lakes.
NerdCuddles Aug 7, 2021 @ 6:02pm
what seed is the middle screenshot?
Hvee Aug 7, 2021 @ 5:50am
Use the mod Prepare Landing (different from Prepare Carefully) to search for Amazonian rivers in your world. You may also be able to use WorldEdit to create them, but I find its river editor finicky at best.
WillDigForFood Aug 6, 2021 @ 11:35am
You just have to keep rerolling worlds until one generates with an Amazonian River, that's all.

Look for the reaaaaaaaaaaaal thick ones.
feral humper Aug 6, 2021 @ 10:36am
ok cool, how in the slugfaced lumpsuck do i find one?
고양이하수인 Aug 5, 2021 @ 9:19pm
Excellent !!
RutraNickers Aug 5, 2021 @ 12:04pm
@drewsuhferr the river title probably is Amazonian River, like in vanilla Huge River
Zarviya Aug 5, 2021 @ 11:02am
@Dr Zhivago god I hope they do
Dr Zhivago Aug 5, 2021 @ 9:47am
Do these rivers have thicc thighs?
BrGuardian Aug 5, 2021 @ 9:11am
Muito legal essa ideia, só de olhar já deu vontade de fazer uma represa gigante como base hehe.
ELLIOTTCABLE on Discord Aug 5, 2021 @ 8:29am
Ditto @drewsuhferr; if I play with this, how exactly do I find tiles that will generate with such a huge river on-map?
drewsuhferr Aug 5, 2021 @ 7:29am
yoooo this is awesome! I'll have to give this a go on the next go, is there a specific map tile graphic that tells you that this river is present?
