In the mod settings, I set the luck to 5 or 10, for example. And 0.2 luck remains in the game.

I archived the source code, deleted the mod files, and redownloaded off the workshop to make sure I have the same mod version as what is out there. It works just fine for me.

you should add a toggle to only affect drop rates. as it stands out, the mod on very high luck makes all pottery spawn portals, and stuff like only mimics spawn underground, which is far from good

the "specific case" where it happens is random per PC due to the nature of the compiler and inlining as a whole. what I'm telling you is for copies of tModLoader where the issue does occur, that is the easiest fix to prevent inlining of RollLuck

people in the comments are not lying, the mod rarely works. i was making a luck uncapper accessory for my own mod and found out RollLuck gets inlined in some of the item drop rules and the detour does not get called. the most important one to target would just be CommonDrop which should get its own detour on TryDroppingItem and the RollLuck detour should get called again and fix the mod.

Okay, might be a bit clueless here bc I'm new to mods but, none of the mods I installed on tModLoader are showing up in Terraria. I tried this mod too but it doesn't seem to work, even after refreshing tModLoader a bunch. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Your zombies should all be dropping zombie arms at 50 luck. Other mods should have no effect either.

Are you sure the config is set properly? Check to make sure the negative luck option is off.

Hi, so I set my luck on 50, but when I beat mobs or bosses, it didn't drop any rare drop, or it only drop like normally when we beat them, for example zombies and all other mobs only drop coins and nothing else, so do I need to restart the game and try it again or do I have to turn off all the mods and try it one by one?

Ps: I've tried to create a new character and a new word as well but the drop rate is still the same

No that's an interesting issue (and I always love responding to comments).

Player stats get reset at the beginning of each frame. I'd hazard a guess that the mod checks and displays luck earlier in the frame than where I'm setting it. I'd also guess that's it's my own programming to blame.

I might look further into this soon.

I checked again, and you're right, it is working despite not showing up on luck counters for some reason. Not sure why I didn't think to just crank the setting up to max and see what happens, I feel a little dumb. Sorry for the trouble, and thank you for a very useful mod.

works for me. I set my luck to 30 and I'm getting tons of slime staves. I'm decently sure that was the version on the workshop as well, but in case not I have pushed an update. See if that fixes it on your end.

Double-checked with Tacomancer's Luck Reader, which is less playable but offers much more detailed debugging. This mod definitely isn't working.

I'm not seeing a change when using this alongside a luck reader (specifically sexual__lobster's Display Luck Count), so I don't think this is working. Which is really unfortunate, because I was hoping to set this to a flat +0.2 and then combine it with No Torch Luck, so I could decorate how I wanted without having to worry about it being technically suboptimal.

Well, i understand that such bug would be hard to fix, imho, so that fine if it would take some time. At least if someone else meet this bug, he will know what happens.
Anyway, i just turn it off, get a feathers, and turn it back, so there not so big trouble to unsubscribe ^_^

You change the luck value in the config. When you're actually in a world, go to settings > Mod Configuration > Max Luck Config. All the settings are right there.

Harpies likely won't spawn because of some funny code (thanks redigit). It likely keeps trying and failing to spawn a clumsy balloon slime. You can use the config to temporarily turn the luck down. I might release a fix for this eventually, but it won't be super easy on me.

I dunno if it my misfortune or something other, but with this mod i cannot find not a single harpy to make a wings O_o. Check every mod i have (not much to test), and only after i turn off this one i finally see a whole harpy pack! Sad to turn it off, it really good one, but wanna make some wings.
