It's been on hiatus. I've wanted to port it for awhile, but unfortunately it's on a backlog of things I want to get done. I will get to eventually, but zero promises on when that may happen.

Please remember this mod exists and update to 1.4.4 lest someone else (not me I can't code) do it first
thefakeone Dec 27, 2023 @ 8:17am
may you port this to 1.4.4 please?
riley_ Oct 19, 2023 @ 5:30pm
some ideas i have for things this mod could add:
- new potions to alter your temperature.
- removal of the slowness effect of icy water in favor of it just reducing temperature (if you didn't do that already).
- a config option to make the player's breath time underwater get reduced the colder they are, like the change calamity makes to ice water.
- new hardmode accessories that buff the player's combat abilities depending on their temperature, so the mod is more risk and reward rather than just risk.
- a 1.4.4 port.

Raine Aug 11, 2022 @ 3:28pm
how do you upgrade the tomes
z0zvoldlol Aug 9, 2022 @ 2:54pm
being hypodermic or having a heat stroke should drain away your hp(rate of drain can be configured) instead of instantly killing you
DokiDokiTulpaClub Aug 4, 2022 @ 11:19pm
Maybe you could add to the config a way to chance the base comfortable temperature, or a way to disable one side of the temperature all together.

I have tried my best to balance everything properly, but with how many variables that are put into the calculations for temperature, you can understand how it can potentially seem like you are hitting a brick wall. I do admit though, there aren't many resources that actually tell you what you can do against the elements since the TerraTemp wiki is basically barren, and I mostly feel like this mod is complete, so I haven't felt like much has needed to change. If enough people suggest otherwise, however, I can definitely still make changes. (pt 2 from last message)

There are some things in place for this, already. Water cools you down, with biomes affecting by how much it will cool you down. Standing next to a torch or campfire of any kind will warm you up a bit too. There are vanity accessories that can help with protection, such as capes providing cold resistance. Also, armor can very much vary on how much it helps you. Very early game armor won't do much, as, well, metal/wood armor just as it is in real life isn't very insulated. There are also cooling and heating potions that gives heat and cold resistance respectively.
tigerfestival1988 Dec 5, 2021 @ 10:15am
I agree with Autismo, I wished there were more methods of cooling off or warming up. I think bodies of water should cool you off when you're getting hot or you can stand next to a furnace, fireplace or campfire to warm you up. I'm literally unable to explore the ice biome without freezing to death even with armor on. I sure hope you consider adding these ideas because I really love this mod and the concept, but the execution feels off somewhat.
YoungIraqiKids2003 Nov 25, 2021 @ 10:54am
Personally, I think it would help leagues if there were more things to help combat cold, because with heat, you can make potions, but there isnt much for the cold. Perhaps even introducing wire powered ac or heat, or making furnaces, campfires, and everything else have more usefulness
vizthex Oct 13, 2021 @ 7:26pm
idk why you'd use this in a normal playthrough, but it could make for an interesting map. Minecraft crash landing style maybe?
V Aug 21, 2021 @ 4:49pm
Alright! :ori:

Alright, should be fixed. Just update the mod, and everything should be fixed. Thanks for letting me know about this issue!

@terry

Sorry for the horrible description. I must have wrote it really tired or something!

Yes! The tooltips are show that (Or similar) I can give even further info on what I mean by similar if wanted.

I cannot see prefixes or tools tips of anything regarding most of what is related to the mod, however functionally they -seem- to still be working as intended in my on-going game and the sort. Just seems to purely by the tool tips for this mod. ^-^
Terry  [author] Aug 18, 2021 @ 3:26pm
There was update to tML itself recently that changed how localization files worked, and I need to fix TerraTemp to adjust to the new system. By "getting anything related to the mod" do you mean the tooltips are showing "+mods.TerraTemp.GlobalTooltipHeatComfortabilityPrefix"?
V Aug 18, 2021 @ 1:54pm
Getting a noticable and annoying bug.

Ever since the new update for terratemp, I am getting anything related to the mod saying, "+mods.TerraTemp.GlobalTooltipHeatComfortabilityPrefix"

This effects -all- prefixes, not only the heat for more info.
