HOLY COW! i can't believe it worked! This mod seems incredibly promising! it also seems like it has potential to maybe do a -multi-island type thing, where there are several terraria islands, each with the classic terraria landmarks and pois, or even a random biome spread things with patches of bioms being scatered around the map. something that i dont know if its a thing but if you could set where the layers were in the settings that would be really cool! e.g. so you could have a world 99% in space

im currently in the process of making a world 5x bigger than a large world and im excited to see if it will work! this is the exact mod i was planning on making until i checked the workshop one last time and i found this! if the large world gen works, then this is going to be great!

So do I need the overhaul setting enabled cause when I go to edit the WorldEvils down to just 1, 3 biomes of them spawn still

Does anyone perchance know how to increase the abyss size in calamity? Is there any way at all to do it through this mod? It's weird for the sulphur sea above to be 3x wider than the abyss

is there a parameter to increase the surface living wood tree spawns? Im trying to generate an extra wide world but it only spawns like 6 trees most times and the "LivingTreeCount" seems to only affect the jungle trees that spawn underground.

Whats the biggest world you can create before the generation takes too long ? I keep trying to downsize the world but the " desertfaction " Ends up always increasing the wait time

In a previous version it was possible, but tmodloader decided it was better to make it so that the ocean size couldn't be edited for some reason

@Decode.exe Unfortunately, the ocean is hardcoded to be at a certain position on the edges of the map, so, when you make the sea longer (and it is possible with this mod), the ocean biome itself would stop at some point and you will just get a big desert pool.

i dont know if this mod is being updated still , maybe a dumb question , but , everytime i try to host it on multiplayer , it doesnt work. if the mod is not being updated , that would suck, but ok.

Anyone figure out how to generate a XL world and not have the background bug out? It's always halfway up the screen for me and I can't figure out how to fix it! Very frustrating bug in an otherwise amazing mod

Yeah the big issue is with overhauled worldgen turned off I can't dictate what evil biomes spawn and that's a huge issue cause it always spawns them right next to me

I just used this mod to create a world using Calamity. Crashed without overhauled world gen on, it worked when I turned it on.

@AnYi This mod is compatible with calamity. Try disabling Best of Both Worlds, that has almost always crashed for me when used with other world-gen mods.
If using XL size world, custom size may need to end with a 2. I.e. ( Width 12602, Height 3602 is 50% bigger than Large and works)

This mod has pretty much no compatibility with other mods, but is not incompatible either. Meaning it'll work most of the time, there just might be some funkiness with biome sizes.

This mod is mostly incompatible with Calamity: Infernum Mode though. The abyss, profaned temple and brimstone crags have almost always caused me crashes, and when it did work, the temple just didn't exist. Not an issue with this mod though, it's because neither Calamity nor Infernum are made in a way that accommodates XL worlds (furthermore, Cal devs have said they won't be doing such either)

If you want to use this mod with infernum you have to disable overhauled worldgen in the mod settings. There's no way around it.
It is still possible to make bigger worlds, only some options are lost without overhauled worldgen.

Hey @Ishigh, sincerely appreciate your dedication to this chat and the mod dude. It being alive has helped me millions of times trying to make my own worlds. FYI to anyone that comes here for Calamity/Infernum/WOG; this problem has existed since 2023 and Calamity devs will not assist on this issue. The best thing to do for most instances of large worlds is to install the "Preview world generation" mod, disable the brimstone crag and make it in your world artificially. After that if you still have trouble, make the final digit in the bounds of your world an even number that is not 0, disable overhauled worldgen in this mod and try again. Good Luck everybody and thanks for the help @Ishigh and others for compiling this info on this thread.

The world size can be changed, but the options cannot be selected and can only be kept as default. The mineral type can only be random. I don't know what caused it

Hello I was just curious, was there any updates recently that tweaked world gen in a drunk world? I keep trying to generate them, and Im getting issues with the dungeon, more often than not the top room spawns below -40 which makes it so I cant undo the curse with the old man to summon skeletron. Could this be just a quirk with drunk world? I've generated some worlds in the past, and didn't have that issue before. Thanks.

For anyone having an issue with World Gen Errors for Calamity, if you use a 2 on the end of the world size it works.

For example 16002x4802

Don't ask me why it works, but it just does!

Mod keeps crashing when i do 16800 by 4800. Like it waits for the world to almost be done and just cuts off its life support.

@Carlos_Eduardo you can just Double the numbers (16.800 x 4.800) or if you want it smaller you could just do it x1.5 (12.600 x 3600)
Both Worked for me, even with Calamity + Addons, though with Calamity it did use at least 5-6 GB ram or maybe more.

I do have a question relating to it: how do you increase the scales of the oceans?
Im not sure if i just have a mod that causing the abnormal behaviour but when increasing the size of the beaches: say doubling it via overhauled world gen, It only applies a bit to the beach and mainly the underneath, but not the ocean itself.
I'm also using remnants mod.

Set desert gen to none
Have 2 on the end of the 2nd number of the gen size. So for example 22400x2402.

My (temporary) solution for the Brimstone Crags bug was to use Calamity Biome Spawner: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2951815963&searchtext=biome+spawner

Just skip the generation of the Brimstone Crags with Worldgen Previewer (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2843258712&searchtext=worldgen)

and with Cheat Sheet you take out the item that generates the Brimstone Crags and that's it.

Btw, i'm using google translate so if I say something wrong I'm sorry

@fox in a can idk what are you talking about, has world of 22400x5200 with calamity and all works fine to me, brimstone crag spawns as any other biomes.

for some reason the Calamity Mod's Brimstone Crag Biome doesn't want to spawn in when changing the parameters of the world size. I'm not sure if I should comment this, since you mentioned that one should be closer to vanilla with mods, but all the other Calamity features seemed to load well, not sure why this is different!

if you're using infernum go to mod config and turn off overhauled generation
