it works for any begining and end "Runway" X/Y you give it
GoofyGoober Jul 8 @ 1:37pm
does this work for flying boats so you can land on water?
Abhobbs  [author] May 6, 2023 @ 6:49am
@saltbågen You may use the controller, just please credit me in the description.
Abhobbs  [author] May 6, 2023 @ 6:48am
The description of this micro-controller. "If you wish to upload a vehicle to the workshop with my micro-controller please ask me first and credit me in the description of your vehicle."
saltbågen May 1, 2023 @ 11:53pm
I want to upload my airplane.
Xyadran May 1, 2023 @ 3:34pm
if its on the ws you can use it. he just asks that you get permission before uploading
saltbågen May 1, 2023 @ 4:56am
Can I use this in my airplane?
Abhobbs  [author] Jan 22, 2023 @ 6:58am
@trdenato I would like you to know that, this is the older version of the system, and a newer one has been released.
trdenato Jan 21, 2023 @ 4:10pm
i wanted this and now its here
DeadRite0 Dec 31, 2022 @ 2:40pm
Using this on my aircraft, all it does is loop-de-loops.
DeadeyeFalx Mar 18, 2022 @ 2:47pm
You’ll never find their bodies
Abhobbs  [author] Mar 18, 2022 @ 2:36pm
The idea is that you take a parachute with you, then jump out after you arm the bomb.
DeadeyeFalx Mar 18, 2022 @ 2:34pm
: ) they never stood a chance

Time to use this as a suicide bomb weapon
Xyadran Jan 31, 2022 @ 5:29pm
alright thanks now to uptate all active aircrafts i have with the updated one ^^
Abhobbs  [author] Jan 31, 2022 @ 4:59pm
@Xyadran I added two new variables to the controller that are explained at the end of "settings". I agree with your complaints, these should have been a variables from the beginning.
Xyadran Jan 31, 2022 @ 9:40am
so its not doing the speed of sound over the runway you intend to land at @khhobbs
Xyadran Jan 31, 2022 @ 9:39am
i put "first altitude" to 610 to be above the cloud level but then landing comes and i have a Decent Rate of Straight Fucking down and level out 1 km AFTER THE END OF THE RUNWAY and its not the aircraft is not capable of that its the mere fact the approach Distance needs to be oh lets see 5km away NOT 1km
Abhobbs  [author] Jan 30, 2022 @ 3:24pm
@Xyadran "first altitude" its in meters so like 600
Xyadran Jan 30, 2022 @ 3:09pm
for aircraft's that should be above cloud level
Xyadran Jan 30, 2022 @ 3:08pm
@khhobbs is there a way to change the approach Distance to the runway or am i stuck with it flying in hurricane level?
Abhobbs  [author] Jan 30, 2022 @ 12:58pm
@regrola I'm not sure why it would just fly north, but that's probably a simple oversight (I hate it whenever that happens to me). The jet engine exploding might be your rps control (my controller outputs percent of thrust). Providing the aircraft would let me get a good look at it and help as fast and effectively as possible.
regrola Jan 30, 2022 @ 6:58am
Hey I don't know why, but the microcontroller doesn't work. It always flies north Although everything is connected and submitted to go, my jet engine is always exploding when I start the mic (I've modified it a bit to make it compatible with my jet control system.)
I could provide the aircraft if necessary to find the error.
(I don't want to present the microcontroller directly as a source of error right now, but I don't see any other possibility) ;)
Xyadran Dec 22, 2021 @ 5:56am
so i can have my aircrafts i dont know Not Divebomb the airfield when flying at oh idk 2,000ft (609.6M) guarenteing that it be over speed on landing
Xyadran Dec 22, 2021 @ 5:53am
is there a way to Extend the distance of the Approach path?
Bane882266 Nov 25, 2021 @ 4:59am
Welp look who's back I've tried all the advice you gave me a while ago but whenever I enable auto land it does erratic aerobatic ending in a nose dive into the sea. (I've already tried inverting the pitch but that hasn't had any effect?) Anyone got any advice?
Abhobbs  [author] Oct 29, 2021 @ 3:34pm
@Bane882266
Using concealed fins would be easier.
The convoluted workaround would feel more rewarding and be more legit.

My opinion would be for the work around, it should only consist of addition.
Bane882266 Oct 29, 2021 @ 2:25pm
I need a big brain opinion. For some reason the pitch is split into left and right ailerons that seem to do their own thing with little symmetry. You wouldn't know from flying the aircraft flies great but do I just slap on concealed control surfaces and attach those to the auto land or do I try and work out a convoluted workaround to integrate the autoland directly into the system.
Planefan Oct 29, 2021 @ 2:13pm
Thank you
Abhobbs  [author] Oct 29, 2021 @ 5:24am
@Planefan 08 there are a couple values you could change to start the decent earlier, but most importantly would be the Alt hold P, I, and D settings, with an unusually large D value, almost no I value, and a very small P value, so to make the plane climb and descend at much slower speeds.
Planefan Oct 28, 2021 @ 9:28pm
Hey, there. Firstly thank you, this is an amazing system. Works brilliantly! Thanks a million times over. Utterly fantastic.
I do have one question though; let's say I wanted it to start the approach to the runway a few more kilometres out for a less steep descent. How would I go about doing that? Is there a value in the logic I should change? Thanks in advance
Abhobbs  [author] Sep 18, 2021 @ 5:57am
@Bane882266
2 The pitch has PID settings so I would start with decreasing the P and the I values.
3 Sure, you have permission.
4 Use a function block to multiply the throttle output of my controller by 70 (x*70), so that
0 = 0, 0.5 = 35, 1 = 70.
Bane882266 Sep 17, 2021 @ 6:24am
1 The numerical inverter worked thanks for the advice.
2 Is there any way to adjust the authority limiter on the pitch control? (It's just a bit aggressive.)
3 Can I ask permission to use this on this upcoming a project.
4 The engine controller I'm currently using works on the basis of 0 to 70...It's currently not playing nice with A L any advice?
Bane882266 Sep 17, 2021 @ 4:49am
Ok I'll try adding a numerical inverter.
Abhobbs  [author] Sep 17, 2021 @ 4:39am
@Bane882266 Does this particular creation have inverted pitch?
Bane882266 Sep 17, 2021 @ 3:35am
I think I may have missed something. I've used this before and other Creations and have no trouble by for some reason it just doesn't like this creation. Everytime I enable auto land it nose dives into the sea...
MrMereScratch Sep 11, 2021 @ 4:53pm
Great, as far as I know, the airports I listed are all stationary despite the changing world seed
Abhobbs  [author] Sep 11, 2021 @ 4:43pm
@MrMereScratch @Bane882266 I could definitely make an additional module tat lets you have preset runways on the mega island. As for the world seed problem, I am pretty sure the mega island spawns in the same spot every time, because it spawns with the starter island, which the coordinates of are (0,0). This should let you land on any runway on the mega island, as well as any runway connected to the island with railroad tracks.
Bane882266 Sep 11, 2021 @ 10:08am
Each map has its own seeds that might be difficult...Maybe I can throw something together that will pick up the difference in colour of the terrain and somehow work out where the airports are. I doubt this will work but I will look.
MrMereScratch Sep 11, 2021 @ 10:04am
Hey, just an idea, could you make a expansion module that has airports like O'neil, Harrison, Multiplayer Island, and Tajin airstrip already inputted and ready to be used by a push of a button?
Abhobbs  [author] Sep 11, 2021 @ 8:54am
@Bane882266 Yeah, go ahead.
Bane882266 Sep 11, 2021 @ 3:31am
Do you mind if I use this in my "Avro Shackleton (Fairly Accurate)" You're clearly credited.
MrMereScratch Aug 28, 2021 @ 7:32pm
And scratch out me making a modernized version of the plane
MrMereScratch Aug 28, 2021 @ 7:31pm
Actually, nevermind about you uploading the fixed version, I got everything running
MrMereScratch Aug 28, 2021 @ 5:02pm
Could you upload the fixed autopilot?
MrMereScratch Aug 28, 2021 @ 4:41pm
Thanks
MrMereScratch Aug 28, 2021 @ 4:40pm
Oh
Abhobbs  [author] Aug 28, 2021 @ 12:56pm
@MrMereScratch the main problem was that the distance sensor had no electricity.
MrMereScratch Aug 25, 2021 @ 12:28pm
Actually, never mind, I'm modernizing the plane, meaning it'll be built from scratch. If you did find out the problem in the old plane and told me, that'd be very much appreciated.
