I wasn't able to finish the map, however the scenery that was shown was fantastic and definitely worth the 1 gigabyte that I installed. One issue I had was I found some parts of the map extremely confusing and I had to search up on youtube. This spoiled the map for me. 7/10

One of the best maps I've ever played

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish the map. In the section where you're supposed to shoot the crane or mechanism to drop the platform, I emptied my entire clip and hit the right spot, but the platform didn't fall. I later watched a video and confirmed I was aiming correctly—it just didn't trigger.

i.....i think my brain crashed more than few times....t..his...is.....♥♥♥♥ this is the best custom map for any kind of game i saw (sorry for bad words but...♥♥♥♥ its awesome)

@Коля Калымага I highly doubt it'll be released, but I am still making maps for Dying Light 2. While the second chapter would be great, we never initially planned to make a part 2 to the map during development so there's not a finalised story to plan the next map off of. I have a few massive projects planned for DL2, so if you're interested you should check back into the mod.io for those every once in awhile.

@Emmalove <3 While the Dying Light 2 Developer Tools have released, they're not in a state where a large collaborative project would be reasonable. The tools are still in beta, and most of the functions that we used even in this map for Dying Light 1, aren't currently working in the Dying Light 2 version. Like I've also previously commented, many of the developers have moved to proper game development or just other things. Unfortunately, I doubt our full team would come back together to make Part 2, even if the DL2 Developer Tools are ever released out of beta. That being said, thank you for being interested in a Part 2!

@RedVaM It wasn't made with co-op in mind when balancing it and the scripting can get confused when multiple players join at different points in the quest (but it might still work). For the best gameplay and/or stability, I'd recommend playing in single player.

@Mayla Sorry for not getting back to you on your first comment. If you want to update your map, simply 'publish' the map again over the previous map's workshop entry. I'd recommend joining the Dying Light Developer Tools server that's at the bottom of the description for more help since its been about a year since I've touched the tools.

Also, the majority of the developers involved in this project (including me) have moved onto making actual games now that DL2 has released and made the DL1 workshop nearly irrelevant. Unfortunately, I doubt our team will come back together to make Part 2 even if the DL2 Dev Tools are ever released. Thank you for being interested in a Part 2 though!

Lot to unpack there @HELLHOUND haha. NPCs had their drops turned off so it encourages a smarter playstyle (such as knowing when to take certain fights). For example, the demolisher fight can pretty easily be passed by throwing molotovs at the enemies with guns and then unlocking the door while the others are focused on the boss. In the city section, the only part that requires you to fight enemies is the fuel and at that point you should have an ample amount of arrows for the bow that can be picked up near the boats.

This map has a very different mindset when it comes to the gameplay than others in that it encourages you to pick fights carefully, and also explore the environments for better equipment. It's a big contrast to some of the projects on the workshop that throw loot at you, so its definitely understandable that some people have issues with the map's difficulty. Thanks for spending the time to play the map and writing feedback though, we always appreciate it!

don't get me wrong i like it but i hate it even more it's easy to get lost in and visually it's giving me a headache. then there is the lack of tools and enemy drops non of the living drop they're weapons from what i could see (like the rifles i managed to get one but couldn't get ammo for it) and forcing you to fight enemies beyond your means (demolisher at the start and hoards of virals with only cqb weapons of low quality and damage). i put 5 shots in a guys head with a dlc pistol i managed to craft he didn't die and if it wasn't for the volitile dlc i wouldn't have been able to kill the nests but still die to the one normal volitile. i got as far as trying to find the parts for the boat but couldn't find any of them because your expected to fight volitiles & multiple thugs with fully automatic weapons and cqb weapons with no cover to get to them with next to nothing to fight with.
