I believe this mod does more or less the same thing and is updated to 1.5

For me, there is a bug. during ideology creation i can only pick broadwrap or headrwap for the leader of the colony, and others also have very limited apparel options. only the roles added by mods get a full suite of choices for apparel, and maybe production specialist aswell.

You need to activate the mod after starting a colony if using with (a lot) of apparel mods.
That is after world creation.
Else it stucks in a loading loop.
The other unlocker mod has this also.

With all of my other mods enabled, this mod causes world generation to take forever or possibly stall out. With just this mod and its dependencies enabled, it works fine. I don't get it. Here's my mod list if it helps anyone https://gist.github.com/WeaverThree/07884c0a24ac383148a210543f63542b

I'm also having the same issue as Caz where it just flat out doesn't work for me. I'm using the required submods as well as having it below any vanilla expanded stuff on the modlist.

To the people on the comments, also don't forget that if you are using "Ducks' No Limits - Ideology" and have the role limit unlocked EVERY ideology in the game will have to generate clothing for it, the mod @Karmapowered posted the link to helps a lot though, managed to reduce my world generation times for a 30% world from 40+ mins to just 20 seconds, without changing the limits on "Ducks' No Limits - Ideology", so pick your priorities and decide how to fix the "slow world generation" issue

This just flat doesn't work for me. I still get longer world gen load times, but when I go to pick apparel for roles, it's just the base vanilla choices. I've tried putting this at the top and bottom of the load order and everywhere between. It just flat doesn't work. And I have no idea where to even begin to try to find what the problem is. Cool idea. Just doesn't work for me, sadly.

This mod absolutely kills world generation for me - just a heads up for anyone having problems - I just spent half a day debugging till I found this as the culprit.

@Wolfette I had that issue on a seporate mod and it's because I believe it scans ALL the factions apparel so if you have lots of race/equipment mods, like I do, then it picks up every single one of those items to make it usable...

I get an XML error (looks like one mentioned earlier). I haven't tested thoroughly yet, but it appears to be solved if this mod is loaded after Vanilla Ideology Expanded - Hats and Rags.

So for some reason mods like this one that modify role apparel choices seems to cause ungodly increases in map generation times, it's happened to at least dozen people according to the #troubleshooting channel on the official Rimworld Discord. We're talking less then 20 seconds to up to IRL hours difference. Not sure what it causing it, everyone is stumped by it but it seems to be the cause as it's removal returns generation times to normal for everyone.

Would it be possible to get the Royal apperal to be unlocked on all the roles? For example, when using this, I still can't make the Cape be the role spesific apperal for Leader roles.

Okey! So, i dropped some mod suggestions that could be cool to be added compatibility!
Now i'll ask of a mechanic, that i'm not certain you would be the one to be able to do it, but with the adding amount of apparels on the list, the list may get long. Like.
LONG.
So, instead of a list as it is, could the choice of apparel be changed into a similar search box as the artifacts? It would greatly help when there are a lot of mods compatible.

@SetArk - My mod uses conditional rules to patch nodes. Vanilla mods don't check anything and just add therefore duplicates. So it's not my mod problem.
