I've not encountered the banshee but a few nemesis
I know this is an old comment, but I just today found the solution to the very same desire I had (it's like fate)! It's called Occult Zombies, if you haven't found it after all this time. It doesn't add a new model but adds a few new textures that are rare, but quite creepy looking. One did remind me of centaurs.
Hell yeah
soulfilcher
when the world needed him the most, he vanished.
Nemesis just disappears after a few hits on him in multiplayer. It doesn't matter if he has invincibility turned on or not, he disappears in both cases.

I installed the mod midgame, is my new friend immortal? if it is, there's some way to disable it in the files?
Yeah the Nemesis is all kinds of jank. They also have an oddly short aggro range. Personally I disable them and only keep the Banshees enabled.
From my experience it does work with Random Zombies mod even while Nemesis is disabled. You'll usually find the Banshee in houses or structures, or at least very close to one.
