dont worry lol im not expecting you to actually troubleshoot i just didnt know if youd say i had to type something separate into Game.ini to actually activate the mod or something like that. i think my luck has just been awful because i have hit 1 mutation now after about 15 babies

It's possible. But also, I cannot look at your configs, I cannot see if everything is put into it correctly. I'm being asked to troubleshoot with only a fraction of the data.

returning here to ask, is there something wrong with the mutationchance config? or maybe some kind of conflicts? i have it set to 3 rolls, each at 20%, and we are now 7 babies deep without a single mutation. could i be missing anything? ive placed it under [RandomConfigs] in GameUserSettings and the VariantMating setting is working so i dont see why the increased mutation chance wouldnt. i find it hard to believe im just having terrible luck lol

If you are in singleplayer, then the mating range is already different, and this mod may not increase it by as much as you'd hope. It doubles it assuming you are on a server. But at the very least, it would not be capable of reduing the range, even on singleplayer.

How long is the mating range with the config DoubleMatingRange=True? I ask because i think its a bit short or so it seems to me. Dont see the diference. Maybe its not working properly for me.

Only when tamed. To avoid performance issues, this mod avoids affecting wild creatures.

Does the better speed thing only affect tamed dinos or what? do the stats only change after tame? or is it also in the wild?

For me ChargeNodesAsTerminals works OK in singleplayer (regardless of load order position) but behaves strange on dedicated server (linux). When the mod is first in load order inventories of Charge Stations gain two relevant buttons and the name of the inventories changes to "Transmitter". I had to open inventory several times for it to change (or spend some time near the structure?). When the mod isn't the first in load order no more Charge Stations change their inventories. Though the Charge Station I was standing nearby when restarted my server still changed after a few tries to open/close its inventory (or after a few seconds since login) but only that one Station right next to me. Any other were not affected by the mod config.

Sadly, I can't use Discord to send this report.

Also; in the future, if you have Discord, it might be worth reporting it there next time, as it's easier to see new messages there immediately than it is on Steam. Here I only see messages if I just happen to open the Steam client that day.

Yeah, the BetterSpeed issue has been properly tested for, found, and a fix will be uploaded in a few minutes.

so i did some testing in singleplayer with the only configs being betterspeedstat=true and still only removes the levels. Same problem with server

it works on singleplayer and after restarting the server a few times removing the config and adding it, it now works for my server aswell, thanks for taking the time with all this :) As for the speedstat it does not seem to work but i will do more testing on my server to be sure. will update you

hi, since latest patch BetterSpeedStat does not work, it just removes the the levels not redistribute it, also adding chargenodesasterminals is a very good qol but from my testing it does not work also :( still a must have mod for me :)

I don't know why, but mutation points config doesn't seem to be working for me. I already added it to the ini under the header, but I'm still getting 2 :/

That's how it originally was, but; this is not a value I would lightly change. Doubling is fine, but going beyond is... not ideal. Basically, it is limited like it is for your protection.

It seems that the stat points redistributed by the "BetterSpeedStat" is distributed in a round robin fashion. (example. if the dino has 14 levels in speed it seems it is always redistributed as 3 in health and stamina, and 2 in oxygen, food, weight and damage.)
Would it be possible to get it distributed randomly instead?
Imagine how boring the game would have been if all the stats always was distributed round robin.

I just wanted to report this issue since it didn't happen before, also with stat overcap. I'll try to fiddle around in an attempt to fix this first (as I have lots of mods) and if not, i'll hop over there.
Also good to know that I'm not only having problems with better stats. That'll make things easier.

But: I can at least confirm the oxygen and food configs fail. Weirdly enough, calling a creatures default recovery rates always returns 0.

Hm, that's weird, I can't replicate that as it works on my end. And stats being lowered when exceeding the integer cap the game has, being 255, is normal. If you want any actual help, I recommend joining the Discord. I get notifications when people talk there. Here on steam, you only get replies whenever I just happen to open the Steam browser.

I hate to say this, but the new features not only don't seem to be working (inis are still the same since my comment below and I've tested them on a 254 stats dino), but mod is now interfering negatively with dino stats: buffs that increase them have stopped working, restoring them to pre-buff values (for example Pyroraptor from Prehistoric Beasts that has increased stats based on tier levels, via permanent buff). Dinos with similar mechanics have the same issue probably.
When I summon an absurdly high leveled creature (like 500m, for testing something), its stats are also lowered to "normal" values. With mod turned off, everything went to normal.

The performance is okay though, no FPS loss on single player.

The test version has the same issue: my game has low framerates. If that helps, I have only variant mating and variant mate boost enabled in the ini file, the rest is default. Also, the new features seem to not working (if they're enabled at all), under the same header - the oxygen and food ones set to 0.1.

Rerted the update, would have to look more into this.

As for bloat from the devkit; those are files from events, not stuff that actually does anything. It shouldn't affect the mod.

@kintyj1324 Can confirm that mod works after complete reinstall (I play on sp). However, my FPS has dropped massively, so mod still needs a fix.

Also, gotta love devkit with its random file upload and bloating the mod lol.

Server can't start without crashing with this mod enabled.

Tried reinstalling all mods on the server, rolling back saves, verifying game files, etc.
Hosted on my own PC using Ark Server Manager.

This issue only appears on Ragnarok as far as we can see for now. The Island works fine.
Issue persists only when this mod is installed... this happened only after the mod update.

Does anyone know of a possible solution?

By 'your own mod' I mean that for example, if I added cryopods it's easy to do such changes, but it's not as easy if I would be supposed to edit them if they are vanilla, or from another mod. Not impossible per se, but more difficult.

As for the desire to drop a mod; the size of mods is what matters, not the amount. You'd make no real difference to loading times.
