Excellent description, thank you very much, chris! My suggest would be to disable the auto-fireman, it's becoming easier (!) with manual firing. :-D All the best, Tob

Then start pushing the cut-off back up but keeping pressure at about 224.8 and even with water injecting you should get it back up to about 60%. My speed dropped to 6.2mph but dragged itself over the brow of the hill and onwards. The other hills are much easier because they are preceeded by a downhill section so you are starting at a much higher speed but I used same settings as for first hill. Hope this helps and you make it up. The Grange does sound great working hard so turn the volume up .....

Hi shighhar - let's get you up the hill hopefully. Tob's method works, but I drive on HUD so use a different method, but it worked for me: Start by putting sander on, throttle to 50%, then keep reducing cut-off to keep boiler pressure in green / about 222psi. At Penwithers Junction I was running at 16mph with cut-off at 45% and boiler 224.8 psi. At bottom of slope push throttle wide open to 100%. Just after this the auto fireman will start injecting water so reduce cut-off to keep boiler at 224.8 psi, down to about 30%.

Another excellent scenario on the Falmouth Branch, thank you TobBirk. Yes the hills are a challenge with such a heavy freight but I thought the Grange handled it extremely well provided you keep the boiler pressure high, and a fun trip down the line. Some enjoyable shunting at the end as well. Thanks for sharing. Cheers

Hello shlghhar, this one is really difficult. It is my first ever "red"-difficulty scenario. I've released a version with the Class 42. This is easier. :-D All the best, Tob

Hello shlghhar, this scenario is really challenging. Here are some hints: increase the fire mass to about 70% before (!) you depart from Truro and keep it at that level. Drive below line speed in the inclines. The Grange is able to master the steep hills with 20-25 mph. Always take alook onto the remaining pressure and the remaining length of the incline. When you reach the top, refill water, stay in a slow driving speed, so you have time to recover your boiler before you reach the next hill. That's exactly how we master such hills on the real steam locomotives. All the best, Tob

Hello Peter, most important is that you have fun with it, Peter. I liked the challenge to master the clumb with the Grange. Indeed not an easy task. All the best, Tob

Hope you don't mind Tob but I added 72XX class at rear at Truro found it a lot more power.
