@GIANT IRON SKELETON I used a very early build of Asset Editor. To my knowledge, current versions don't do animation splicing anymore. I've wanted to rework these for WH3 for some time but haven't had time. Message me in the modding den and maybe we can collab on bringing these guys to WH3. Their animation sets need a rebuild from the ground up, but the custom animations here should all move over.

yeah maybe not a good idea if you given all the guns and tech to the boyz, End time will truly come if you remake this mod.

These days I wouldn't call it a plan so much as a hope. They can't be 'ported' to WH3 anymore with the kinds of changes that have been made since launch, they would need to be rebuild from the beginning.

I'm trying to get all the animation tools set back up for myself because I really want to add some fun gobbo stuff. That new stuff may come when I port this to WH3 though.

That's interesting that there is some lore basis.

In the logic of the world, it made no sense to me that there were ZERO gunpowder using greenskins. At the very least the Black Orcs, who were created by the very pro-gun and pro-technology Chaos Dwarfs, would have been capable of firearm usage. Recovering scrap from enemies on the battlefield is a core mechanic in their campaign so a logical source of some gunpowder weapons is built right in.

I was just reading about some Gotrek & Felix books, and apparently gun-wielding Orcs are mentioned in Orcslayer. So I think that makes this technically canon?

Anyway, mod looks great! I love that you made the weapons look Proppa' Orcy!

always wanted this kind of mod. i imagine ork gunpowder units have way more models than your average ranged imperial unit, but unit caps due to how rare it is for an ork to have the dexterity to pick his own nose.

imagine a goblin version of free company militia.

I have to play Azhag with this great mod. I've always felt that Azhag needs more variety of Orc ranged units, and this perfectly fit into what thought! Thank you!

I have gobbo gun units much like that on my list of things to do. At the moment though, I'm doing reskins and QOL maintenance on all my existing mods to get them ready for WH3 and leave them in a great final state as WH2 comes to it's last DLC.

Are the units effected by tech/red skills?
Is the black orks get the faction buff from grimgor?
Would be amazing to have a normal size black ork shootgun guys for line infantry :)

not sure if this issue has been mentioned yet, but the ork shoota boys seem to completely glitch out when climbing up a wall by ladder. Most of them just float on top of the ladder without ever getting on the wall, and the few shoota orcs who are on the wall ignore attack orders. When I tried ordering them to leave the wall, they actually just, uh, walked away. Mid-air.

Is this a reference to actual ork lore? At this point, I won't even be surprised if there's a story about ork anti gravity belts powered by sheer force of belief that it works lol.

I was already giving all the artwork a redo. I took another shot at the unit cards.

The reloading shouldn't have remained in the mod anyway. I have removed those and will instead ask Marthenil if he wants to support this animation set.

Why did you give them a reload animation? They're not shoving the powder down the gun with a stick, it's just empty air. It looks really silly.

I'll do a submod for unit caps, yeah. I think having a cap tied to resources or dwarf holds under greenskin control would make sense.
