I love this concept! It's perfect to have a wonder that adds a boost to naval unit production. I'm having an issue, though. I am unable to produce this wonder. It is in my technology tree, I have researched it, and other civilizations have produced it. The city in question is on the coast, yet this wonder is not in my list of wonders in the city. Any ideas? Thanks for your time folks!

I like this mod, always use it. There was a mod that allowed magellans expedition at compass. Do you recall it? It is no longer in mod list in the workshop. Can you create it?

What does it mean by obselete? Do you not get the +30% towards naval units when you hit astronomy?

Also the option to build the Wonder doesn't appear once you've researched Mathematics.

What about going back to something like my previous idea:

Cothon (New + Old)
+ 1 Point towards Great Engineer.

Merchant Harbor:
+ 10% Gold.
+ 1 Merchant specialist slot.

War Harbor:
+ 15% production towards naval military units.
+ Great Admiral appears next to coastal city.

Just was playing and forgot that the Colossus on top of giving +1 trade route and a cargo ship, gives the same bonus as this mod (trade routes sent to this city give +2 gold, owners of the trade routes gets +1 gold).

vincent has a point but don't remove it just make the construction cost (production) larger that other wonders of the time and more than a caravansery, 2 triremes and a wall or something like that

Guess all that is left now is to change the name from Harbor of Carthage to a 'Cothon' and change the built Wonder screen to include the new bonuses and wording. Maybe saying something like this on the left side of the Wonder screen:

"The harbors were in communication with each other, and there was an entrance to them from the sea, seventy feet in width, which they closed with iron chains." - Appian's narrative of the siege and caputure of Carthage by the Romans.

@Xarsus, questions:

A) Why you adding Desert tile near town? Carthage was in Northern Africa which was fertile, not the Sahara Desert. The only other 'Cothon' to be found was in Sicily, so why add this? Change it to Plains near town to be less specific?
1B) What about cutting the number of triremes to 2, similiar to the Pyramids?
2B) Option 2 is that it works like terracota army and gives you 2 copies of each type of (faction specific) naval military unit you have?
C) The Colossus gives a +1 Trade Route bonus, how about something like East Indian Co. but with less $: Trade routes sent to this city give +2 Gold and the owners of the trade routes gets +1 Gold to reflect the bonus a harbor of this size would give?
D) Just Constructive Criticism, but the bonuses should be a max of 2 types of bonuses as to NOT be too OP. Most Wonders only have 1-to-3 types, this has 4.

Not trying to tell you how to make your mod, just trying to be constructive & helpful.

Thx for comments. What about change the bonus like these:
Remove the Great engineer,
Remove the 2 happiness and 3 gold bonus
Cut down 50 extra defence points to 25....
Adding "Desert tile near town" as request also.

So new bonus... :
+ 1 Trade Rout
+ 3 Trireme
+ One extra gold from sea resources
+ 25 defence Points

Seems op but needs double hammers (production) from other same period wonders...

@ Xarsus, I have an idea for the traits of a Cothon:

‘Cothon’ (Double-Harbor)
+1 Point towards Great Engineer.

Merchant Harbor:
+10% Gold (similar to a market).
+1 Merchant specialist slot.

War Harbor:
+15% Production towards all naval units (like a stable) including fishing/cargo boats.

If you like this idea, use it, word it as you like, I'm just here to help out in whatever way I can.

@Franco i think you are right. so i am thinking removing the lighthouse as prerequest building, adding cothon building (prior to harbor) with some minor bonus from the HofC.

I was wondering could you rename this wonder from "Harbor of Carthage" to a "Cothon". A Cothon is the title for Carthage's harbor and makes this wonder more genaric for other factions to build.

since it adds a caravan/cargo ship trade route slot it won't be compatible with anything except BNW. As long as you have BNW you should be fine.

everything is showing up properly in civilopedia, and when I use the In-Game Editor mod to see a list of all buildings and wonders that could be built in a city, the name of your wonder is showing in the proper era. So everything seems good to go as far as structure and function stuff is concerned.

Only thing I would suggest would be to edit the description here in the mod using the "Edit Ttitle and Desscription" button under the "Owner Controls" since the Steam Workshop doesn't know what to do with the [ICON_GOLD] etc. and simply deletes them from what shows in the thumbnail preview description before a subscriber clicks on the icon four your mod.
