and mercenary units are to be trainable by all factions depending on what region armies in but i was focused on trying to unlock the angles first before doing anything else

sam.pidgeon, bob is a tricky program. first you need to do minimum amount of changes to make it work with bob. You shouldnt change so many things. you should do everything step by step. By the way not all changes on tables work in the game. Faction specific mercanaries are one of them.

First unlock a faction with minimum amount of tables (only the essential ones).
Then edit your faction (add victory conditions, change couple of small things, add new units etc)
Then start to create custom traits because you need to create new effects and couple of new other effects to make the original effect to work...

While bob donig its job dont press any buttons, dont even touch the computer. It's a very fragile software.

Modding those things generally easy but long process. You always encounter a stupid thing that doesnt work but should have worked.

Think things a little bit simple.

I still cannot have the time to finish my own mod.

hi i recently tried watching the youtube video on unlocking factions i want to make my own faction unlocker where factions have custom traits and unit rosters as well as new mercenary units added to main campaign.

unfortunately when i followed instructions on using bob software from 15 mins into the video the game tried launching and then crashed also i now cannot play attila modded or non modded any ideas?

i am having to reinstall the game

Языги, Роксоланы и Будины смогут заселить. Маврийцы и гетулы смогут передвигаться.

Лазица, Нобатия, Гассаниды были вассалами Римской империи. Языги были клиентами Римской империи. Поэтому они относятся к римской категории.

Я не знаю русский язык, только немного.

Они относятся к славянской культуре, и бонусы этой культуры совершенно бесполезны, по той же причине. А особенности фракции отсутствуют вообще у всех фракций, которые добавляет данная модификация. Исправьте, пожалуйста.

Уважаемый автор! Данная модификация не доработана. Я прекрасно вижу, что вы попытались сделать игру более исторически достоверной, но такой подход не применим к такой игре, как Attila:Total War. Я молчу про восточные и африканские фракции, но кочевые... Почему теперь Языги относятся к Римским фракциям? Зачем этой фракции культурные особенности Римской империи? Те бонусы, которая даёт эта культурная группа абсолютно бесполезны для кочевой фракции, которая не может осесть в каком-либо поселении. Аналогичная проблема с фракциями: Роксоланы и Будины.

@sam.pidgeon For the time being i am using vanilla units to create rosters for minor factions. I believe your mod will be compatible with mine if you adjust it. i am using diffrent faction_groups and different military_groups. I really dont want to get into creating or dealing with new units right now because i want to finish my mod's first version as soon as possible.

looks like a good mod i may try out sometime did you get a chance to check out my unit pack @Tadgu maybe use it to add new units to factions it has custom garrisons romans i given them barbarian units since both of the empires hired goths and various other tribes to fight for them

Mauri and Gaetuli: Similar to Garmantians able to nomad they can be both black and white similar real berber peoples Nobatia: Similar to Axum. Rugians: Gothic-Nordic
Gepids: Germano-Huns Greathungians: Gothic-Alanic can recruit eastern unit from their city
Bastarnians: Celtic-Sarmatic-Germanic Varinians: Nords with some slavs, heateria guards
Lugians: Can use unique buildings and units from other barbarians (non alanic)
Thuringians, Marcomans, Quadians: Mixed Suebic tribes with mixed west germanic tribes.
Angles: Can forge Anglo-Saxon kingdom with lesser nordic tribes. Saxon-Jute mix with some celts

These are the things in my mind. I still struggle to decide to add emergent roman factions like Gaul and Egypt.

Abasgians: Mainly sarmatic and alanic small numbers of steppe, roman and persian units.
Afrighids: Persian-Desert-White Hun mix. kinda weaker and settled version W.huns.
Magyars: Lesser Huns with some slavs. Sabirs: Lesser White Huns with some alans
Armenia and Kartli: Eastern Roman-Sassanid mix with archer generals otherwise they are OP.
Roxolani: Pre-patch Alans able to settle Iazyges: Sarmatian Romano-Huns able to settle
Budini: Nordic-Slavic-Sarmatic-Nomadic able to settle
Parthia: Lesser Sassanids with some sarmatians. Makran: Desert-Persian Mix
Other Sassanid puppets: Lesser Sassanids with locational rosters.
Mazun: Lakhmid-Himyar-Sassanid mix Ghassanid: Lakmid-Tanukhid-Himyar mix

I think you are already spot on with what I intended but maybe some units for Armenia so they could hold their own if they wanted independence? Some alanic units for magyars, sarmatian units for roxolani, and a small amount of nomadic units for Afrighids and Parthia?

Caucasian factions (Armenia, Arran, Kartli, Abasiga, Lazica and rebel faction Anatolia) have Romano-Persian rosters. Lazica is more Roman than others, Arran is more Persian than others and Abasgia have nomadic-alanic-sarmatic units. Caucasia is known for its highlands. I am trying out archer generals and higlander archer from Caledonians for. It seem good right now for balancing reasons and they wont have Camel farms /they have cattle farm insread).

What is your recommendation, please share with me :D

i am trying out confederation option for Lazica and Abasgia. They will become Eastern Kingdom (similar to tanukhid who becomes eastern empire). And also they will use Cordoba battle map architecture from Charlamange campaign rather than sassnid style.

There is no problem with the mod. minor religion "shirene of a dark cult" building is only buildable in minor cities not in province capitals so you cannot build it in Anacopia.

I tried to do it with abasgia the bosphorus faction and there wasnt a building chain for religion.

minor religion building doenst show up in building browser even in the vanilla game but it is still buildable. if you are talking about Nobatia and Mazun they are not finished yet. However you can build minor religion building or you can change Mazun religion to Juadism and continue for victory objectives.

Im not sure if this is from a conflicting mod, but when I have a minor religion faction it wont let me build their religious chain.

all the rosters will be fleshed out you can alter stats etc if you want new units there plenty in the pack you could use i did increase armour,weapon,shield values so would need rebalancing probably

yeah go for it perhaps maybe you could import my units into your mod make whatever changes you want but all the info is there it contains custom garrisons as well

if you want to add units to factions when u unlock i have a unit pack you could maybe use for it
better when factions have special traits makes them more unique you could change the units appearance etc or use the pack give u idea what kind of units you will give factions

first version of this mod wont be too far away from vanilla game so there wont be playable emergent factions. only way i would do something like this adding the those emergent factions as rebels because thats how they appear in the vanilla game. right now i am triying to find a solution for nomadic settlers (only sarmatians) but i have no luck for that to keep things vanilla wise so i will go for plan b. However bad luck is bad... My back up hard disk crushed recently. It will take some time

are you planning to make all emergent faction playable too? but keep it vannila friendly like the amount territory or region they hold is based on where ever region they emerging in vanilla?? that would be cool...

Thanks. This is going to be a vanilla(+) mod so no new units or graphics. I am only using vanilla recources.
