Right click on the ground while having irrigation pipes in your inventory?
Carrots and radishes need a maximum of 75% water. If the water level rises to 100%, for example due to rain, these plants become sick, drown and die. A roof built over them prevents additional watering from rain.
This mechanic is unfortunately illogical and vanilla default.
But i'm confused about the part that reads "Roof should be also build, so plants will not overflow and die from too much water", how does not building roof lead to overflowing?
Ofc, yes :)
I author is against this, please write me in the comment and i will remove it.
When PZ41 beta was, mod api did change resulting me fixing this mod 3-4 times during beta.
This mod only recognizes and supports the plants that are in this game by default. And now with the upcoming update b42 a lot will change again, new plants will be added and maybe new mechanics.
We will have to wait and see what will change and how the new farming system works.
But even then this mod will probably continue to only support the default plants.
metal pipe, hammer and screwdriver.
Thank you for the kind words. :)
Follow-up... looks like it finally updated. From time pipes were connected to full water collector until it started watering was maybe 1+ hours realtime.
if smart-pipes are enabled (by default) it will slowly pre-fill water every those 5h until optimal value is reached; if you disable smart-pipes, it will keep water levels, so if you never pre-filled it will be 0.
most people do make mistake when connecting barrels by not laying pipe towards barrel.
I don't know if you have smart pipes enabled, try watering the fields once and see if the water level remains stable afterwards (assuming the barrels are full). After half an hour, the connected fields should normally have been checked at least once and watered again if necessary.
Can you give a better idea how long that "regular interval" may be? It's definitely not a moment. I've laid pipes out and even after half an hour of realtime it's not watering my crops from (square) rain collectors. Seems I'm not the only person running into this.
I know it's worked in the distant past, but even with full barrels and properly laid pipes, my crops are bone dry.
Yes, after a while check the fields, they should be watered (at least) with the minimum amount of water needed, within the optimal range.
The game checks the water level of the fields at regular intervals, and the mod tries to gradually maintain this state.
This can always take a moment until you see the result.
Can't seem to find a way to pipe from the barrels outisde to the farm indoors.
The pipe only needs to make contact with the barrel on one tile and is therefore considered connected.
