Sadly there won't be one. The goal of this mod was to make a smaller version of the mod, but with mods like cherry picker it has become less useful.
Raider1 Sep 19, 2024 @ 6:05pm
looking forward to the updated version of this one :)
Argón  [author] Aug 17, 2024 @ 1:03pm
I haven''t. I just left these old versions here. The new version will come up soon with mod settings and better integration.
Porknelius Aug 17, 2024 @ 11:36am
looks like he's given up on these mods my dude
Nyx (She/Her) Jun 4, 2024 @ 1:29pm
1.5 has dropped, mind seeing if this needs any touch ups?
Argón  [author] Mar 13, 2024 @ 5:17pm
Hit a feature I can't make it work with regards to the rework, plus now I'll probably wait for 1.5 to drop and make sure the mod doesn't need an immediate fix.
Thundercraft Mar 13, 2024 @ 1:27am
Doing okay? Hit a snag, perhaps?
Argón  [author] Jan 14, 2024 @ 8:53am
The rework will soon come out and it will include options to make it less content-heavy.
Latex Santa Jan 14, 2024 @ 7:12am
@Argón I don't mean to be a pest, but... any word on an update?
A.Gamer.93 Nov 24, 2023 @ 11:19pm
please update
Argón  [author] Apr 23, 2023 @ 4:52pm
yeah those errors will be fixed in the rework, which is going to be part of the base mod now. You'll be basically able to disable resources.
Onion Apr 23, 2023 @ 2:53am
There's been these two errors with this mod for a while now for the assorted metal slags, I'm PRETTY sure they're from this mod...

Config error in VMEu_LeadSlag: has smeltProducts but has smeltable=false
Config error in VMEu_MiscSlag: has smeltProducts but has smeltable=false

Dunno if it's an easy fix or a conflict I've somehow come across, but it doesn't functionally cause any issues; just figured its worth bringing up if you plan on reworking the full mod.

Best of luck with that by the way <3 love this mod, excited to see how the other one turns out
Autismus Maximus Mar 28, 2023 @ 8:52am
ey bruh it need a new patch
Argón  [author] Jan 21, 2023 @ 8:19am
It's patched
Bluewolf Jan 20, 2023 @ 9:24pm
Is the concrete from this mod incompatible with the concrete from the bricks and mortars mod?
Argón  [author] Jan 15, 2023 @ 4:48pm
It's the main reason why I'm doing the rework, aside from the renewing-my-creations-because-I-feel-I-can-do-better thing xd
Ariadne Jan 15, 2023 @ 4:42pm
I'm all for customisation, so I'm looking forward to that. and I bet it'll translate into less work for you in the long run ;)
Argón  [author] Jan 14, 2023 @ 9:48pm
Will try to push one that works, but be adviced that I plan to discontinue this mod and make the full version customizable through flexible settings instead.
Thundercraft Dec 22, 2022 @ 2:19am
Does this work in 1.4?
I do see that there is 1.4 support for the FULL version of this mod...
Argón  [author] Sep 11, 2022 @ 6:39am
Nope, I will rename them so that they won't have the same name, but given the different gameplay approaches of both mods, I think they can both co-exist without affecting each other much.

@TELEGRAPH_ME_U_KNICKERS: Concrete has its own category so that I would be able to make some buildings makeable out of concrete, but not everything, like tables for example.
[FC] Dendygar Sep 10, 2022 @ 11:53pm
does the concrete and bronze conflict with the factions expanded romans mod? given they both have bronze and concrete.
cyanarchy Sep 10, 2022 @ 4:20pm
I recall cement was the only item I could not build them out of. To be clear, I was trying to use industrial concrete mix. They could be built out of other vanilla and modded materials (wood, ironwood, granite, steel, bronze, etc.). I'm academically curious why cement is considered separate from other stony-type materials, but knowing this is the case, I could probably dig into the XML for the wall corners mod (heresy on the rim, I know) and patch the def for allowed types. If you can point me to what the specific tag for concrete as a build-able type looks like it would probably help, but I don't really expect you to fix such a niche mod incompatibility.
Helios Sep 6, 2022 @ 9:45am
Does this conflicts with medieval overhaul iron? (or is there a patch already for that?, really liked the series but I usually play medieval runs)
Argón  [author] Aug 28, 2022 @ 9:43am
Maybe the patch is not updated in this lite version. The lite and full version are hard to keep updated equally, so I'm working on an idea to make this one deprecated and make the lite version be jsut a configuration of the full one
seaurchinhead Aug 28, 2022 @ 9:04am
It seems like the coals from this mod does not work on the coal generator of 'Coal Expanded' despite the compatibility saying that they would work...
Argón  [author] Aug 17, 2022 @ 5:41pm
I'm pretty sure it is because they cannot be built with "stony" materials. Can you build them out of stone blocks? Though now thinking of it I think there is a cusstom category for cement. A patch can be easily written anyway, I can help if you want to do it yourself.
cyanarchy Aug 17, 2022 @ 2:08pm
This mod has quickly become a must-have for me, I appreciate it both for it's realism and because concrete is so incredibly versatile and efficient. I've been sticking with this version for a combination of game-play simplicity and mod compatibility.

An unusual occurrence: I was using "Diagonal Walls", which I can make out of concrete no problem. I wanted to try using "Wall Corners", but for some reason I can't build them out of concrete - even though other materials like iron, bronze, and stone are valid options. I'm not above rooting through xml to fix this myself but I don't know what attribute would prevent a wall from being built out of concrete specifically.
Imperator_Xhar Jul 26, 2022 @ 4:24am
Oooo I'm looking forward to it! awesome mod great work btw thank you!
Argón  [author] Jul 14, 2022 @ 7:04pm
I am working on a similar feature on an addon I'm willing to release
Imperator_Xhar Jul 14, 2022 @ 3:24am
Can you do refining into ingots that would be amazing just to top things off
Argón  [author] Jul 10, 2022 @ 8:02pm
Hmm... That's weird, but I see what's the issue here, I'll see if I fix it
ChemicalBacon Jul 10, 2022 @ 5:54am
Hello

I've been having CTDs for quite a while after installing your mod. It seems to stem from smelting slag with the following errors;

=====================
Config error in VMEu_LeadSlag: has smeltProducts but has smeltable=false
Config error in VMEu_MiscSlag: has smeltProducts but has smeltable=false
=====================

Sadly this kills my save as I get common CTDs and removing bills/ the smelter doesn't seem to work.

Hopefully this helps!
Argón  [author] Jun 7, 2022 @ 9:31pm
I'm willing to deprecate this and integrate the lite mode as an option on the main mod instead
Argón  [author] Jun 7, 2022 @ 9:31pm
This might be an issue with the Lite version only because it hasn't been updted to keep it alongside the updates on the main version
Amko The Terrible Jun 7, 2022 @ 9:24pm
Main complaint I keep finding myself having is just how very little iron and coal there is on maps, but absolute BOATLOADS of lead and tin that are so extremely niche and can be largely ignored in many builds, but Iron is an absolute lifeblood for a colony as most EVERYTHING is made with it or steel in some way. Seriously. If possible, I'd absolutely nuke the ore generation for metals like lead, tin, germanium, tungsten, titanium, by any means, make them deep metal exclusive if you have to, just to get more iron and coal readily available for colonists to get without having to blindly stripmine into mountainsides.
Dracon May 22, 2022 @ 1:03am
Request: Can you please add comp ability for RimFactory(Continued)? Specifically, the advanced smelter as it can do arcoal but not Alloys. The reason for this is that the smelters copy their database from the smelter alone, not the alloy smelter.
Argón  [author] May 7, 2022 @ 9:09am
In the lite version it just allows you to do the same recipes, so it's actually kinda useless. In the full version it has more recipes.
Dracon May 7, 2022 @ 8:03am
What is the advanced alloy smelter for? It only lets me smelt bronze, Steel (charcoal only) and make bulk charcoal.
Argón  [author] Apr 15, 2022 @ 11:06am
I will make a new option to have a Lite version. This mod will probably be deprecated in the future
Pamparampampamparam Apr 15, 2022 @ 9:05am
now I have to wait for chemfuel expanded to be made compatible lmao
Lucky Apr 2, 2022 @ 3:02am
I feel like when vfe puts out a new mod its a gut shot to argon and this mod.
Abrikos75 Apr 1, 2022 @ 6:57am
Bronze is only no more than 15 percent tin, copper should be the most, you have the opposite
Argón  [author] Jan 22, 2022 @ 6:58am
This version got a little messed up when I made my GirHub repository and upated the full version, so now I'm seeking for a way to keep them both updated and avoid lite being outdated in comparison to the full version. I'll try to fix the error as soon as I can, and I'll also seek for a way to improve the lite version, probably right now the best recommendation would be to use the full version and disable content using Owlchemist's Cherry Picker, as right now this is just redundant content that gets outdated easily because it's hard to keep up updates on both versions given than one has 40% the content.
123nick Jan 21, 2022 @ 10:26pm
i get a lot of errors on startup about XML errors, i think their from this mod, since IIRC i think XML extensions adds a XML debugger that shows what mods an error is related to and this is one of them.

BadLuck Dec 16, 2021 @ 1:20pm
no worries, I'm doing a neolithic start so it would be nice to progress from bronze to iron.
Argón  [author] Dec 16, 2021 @ 12:47pm
Well, bronze is more like an aesthetic material at this point. I tried balancing it many times but I've been doing way too many patches for these lately. I'll look forward to release new stuff before going back to patching metals.
BadLuck Dec 16, 2021 @ 12:17pm
is it easier to get iron than bronze?
Argón  [author] Nov 25, 2021 @ 11:12am
There is a problem I'm still unable to solve that appeared with the last Rim-Effect: Core update, I don't know if that's the error you got, as I didn't check if it appears on the lite version as well, but it does appear in the full version. Anyway, as I've been busy these last weeks due to school finishing up, any errors you get please post them in the bugs discussion, so I'll have them all in one place once I get enough time to take a look at them, thanks.
Mr. Mauer (Mollari) Nov 25, 2021 @ 10:02am
patch operations still fail <3
Argón  [author] Oct 30, 2021 @ 1:07pm
Compatibility patches will take a little more than expected because I'm currently looking for an efficient way to keep the lite up to date with any patches on the full version. I was trying to make it via a GitHub repo with different branches but seems like I'll need something else. Anyway, glad to see people are still enjoying the mod, Rimefeller compatibility will be next as soon as I can get a little more time to work on mods.
