Not seeing the solar panels when I spawn this in, How did you have those set up @AtremisRouge?

Itll easily hold 130k+ of shield components which is more than youll need for any fight in the game. That is the 4 small shield components, 8 medium components, + bastion shield. The Shield arrays are stupidly large and there is no blueprint on the workshop that can fit 8 of them them, luckily they are not needed. You can easily kill a dreadnaught with a 45k shield, and The Ayamara can hold up to 130k. What I target depends on what I am fighting, for fighting a Dreadnaught I target turrets and rip the hitscan off its arms, then I strip the bottom of him and blow out its gens. No tanking necessary, clean, no risk of hitting its quantums. ( as you would risk trying to target Gens only )

oh and has it been edited and expanded to fit all the new shield gens or does it rely more on its armor and movement and weaponry

what do you generally target when doing the upward rolls, i figure gens then just blow the core from the front once safe to do so, have you tested vs the new turrets as quite a few of them are now hit scan

It can do either. Armor is heavy enough to facetank a Decimator or infector, might not want to tangle with an eradicator unless you know what youre doing. It'll easily kill a Tovera dreadnought as a shield fighter in an upthrusting roll, yes.

If you want to go above 4 of the small capacitors, you need to upgrade to the larger type

Because they just changed the shields last night Fenrir, Max of 4 of any type of shield now, but they added heavier versions of the shield components. Just take off 2 capacitors.

Tried this on HWS reforged eden and the 6 capacitors wont allow its use.

This ship is amazing, I love your work. Request, is there any way to take the outer nacelles and sweep them down? It would like a Star Trek Bird of Prey then. I am trying in creative but I am not that great with ship design.

The ship seems rather nice, just getting from the pilot seat to the ramp is a bit troublesome.
You think puting a pilot seat down into the hv hangar has bad impact? I know in another ship drones sniped my pilot seat thru an armored door...
(I'm spoiled by my current ship that has an pilot seat just above an ramp to get out on planets)

also the teleporter has no sensor, if you exchange it with a oxy/health stations then there is room above for an sensor. Or move it to the captains quarter.

One more thing.. as far as I remember there is no grav gen in Your ship... is there a reason to do so?

But yes, you can do everything except tank special encounters with the Ayamara, it is a ship which can take you through the entire game. & thank you for your compliments Logos!

The Ayamara holds 50-60 turrets and can carry roughly that much armament + its ammo and still perform full combat maneuvers. The Lightning II can carry over 100+ Turrets + ammo, is a precision coring vessel w/ 12 artillery cannons, and is even faster and more maneuverable than the Ayamara w/ its entire armament. It also has twice as much frontal armor, so if it needs to tank a special encounter, it can.

Do you rally need the Lightning if You have this ship? I really do not think so. I tested it and it can have bastion/regenerative shield as well as antimatter WD. With 10 aux cores it can serve as an end-game ship by some margin. Why did You build the Lightning II anyway? :-))) That is engeneering masterpiece, Sir. Kudos for You :-)

Many thanks again sir. Simply turning turrets off and on again and they were pointing as expected. Still learning how to use this vessel and any video links you might have would be greatly appreciated. I'm not skilled enough to use the mouse, [q,e] space and forward simultaneously and it is likely due to my inexperience with the intended maneuver.

Theyre not 'bunkered' turrets, theyre keyholed, to restrict line of fire onto a frontal plane, so that at close range all of your turrets are not firing on a single target ( would be overkill ). If you restrict the fields of fire across your ship, when you close to short range you can often destroy 3-4 turrets at a time since all of your turrets are not looking at the same ( closest ) target.

Turrets are able to clip through blocks in many cases and still fire, through the blocks even, if you place a thin block over a plasma turret the barrel will extend through it and still fire. Its not necessarily a problem. As far as getting stuck? Ive never seen them get stuck really. You mean theyre not turning toward the target to fire?

The bunkered turrets in the nose are getting twisted sideways. The top one even glitched into the plate above it. Anyway to lock them forward?

When the ship was made, in that game version, the regenerative shield was junk. It has since been improved and yes I would recommend the Regenerative shield.

The instructions for upgrade indicate a bastion shield. But wouldn't the combat style of this vessel be better suited to the regenerative?

Repair bays are notoriously painful to use with large ships Ikar. I would suggest selling some bridges and matrixes from your kills and using Station repair services, thats what I do.

Does anyone have a troubles with repairing it? Cant use standard landing pad. I need to move repair bay 2 blocks up. Any ideas why?

Yes Diche, This ship uses 4 Quantum cores. It's a highly maneuverable, moderately armored battleship which will carry around 50 heavy turrets and still perform high-G combat maneuvers. It is an excellent heavy shield fighter.

What does "Quantum" mean in this instance? Are you referring to the Quantum cores that can be acquired from killing NPC ships and POIs in game?

figured out what blocks are not for vanila, trying to test this on hard to see how it works, but i can`t get it to spawn, saying forbidden blocks, as only 15 solar panel are alloyed, where the heck are they lol, saying 46 solar panel, 1/2 panel and capacitor, only thing i think stoping it in single player, i had the same on another ship, its working in my reforge, can`t wait to try it out, spawning right now, ty for this ship, will test it out

i like the ship but it has a hidden forbidding block it says i try it in single player and multi player and says hidden forbidding block creative would alllow me to spawn it in can you try to fix it?

I had that problem at one point. Unfortunately uninstalled, manually deleted every trace left behind, and reinstalled.

There are no forbidden blocks afaik.
This ship can only be used in Reforged Eden scenario and not vanilla

This ship just works. Artemis is constantly pushing the envelope with an intricate understanding of flight mechanics. The designs remind me of AI generative design because it strengthens areas that need to be strong and doesn't waste material and weight on areas that don't need to be strong. Ayamara is no different. It is so agile that it takes practice to fly correctly. it is easy to overcorrect a roll or pull too much yaw if you are used to flying traditionally sluggish craft. However, once you get a feel for it and learn to use the ship to get maximum performance out of it, you will be in for a treat. It is such a joy to fly something that makes you feel like your piloting skill matters. Ayamara is another outstanding ship from a cutting edge designer. Great work, Artemis :steamhappy:

I love the design and how it handles within atmosphere and orbital but I have a few questions though.

Why are there a harvest controller at the bottom of the hangar/hull?
And regarding one of the signals "Close Hangars", I couldn't find any device attached to this one.
Is it something that where left there by mistake/not removed when motion sensors where added?
