I made a lite version based on this mod a year ago, w/o the unit requirements and steel to resolve the issue of AI not producing units that have quarter requirements: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3176563380

this mod has been causing my games to not be able to start, i disable it and they start. tried uninstalling the mod and reinstalling to see if itd work still didnt. so sad. one of my fav mods

I kinda wish you weren't forced to build a Garrison to spawn some military units, or at least allow us to do it when the city already has an Encampment district, but everything else about this mod is pretty good.

fascinating. building makers quarters does remind me of HK a bit, but then you've also taken the game in a similar direction to Civ 7. I wonder if the devs saw your work? Or maybe you just sensed the direction the franchise would take? Anyway it feels almost like having early access to Civ 7 lol, so thanks.

怕有人不知道,我补充一点,加此mod后,步兵什么的只能在兵营生产,而骑兵等只能在马厩生产,互不兼容,因此城市间士兵的训练要互相搭配着来

Yeah... with the unit changes, this is a game breaking mod. The AI does not use mod assets enough to pose any threat to any civ that does happen to figure it out by chance or by elimination. I'd love to have all the districts, but the unit changes basically make this an IWIN button for the player.

PLEASE, can you disable the need of garrison like prerequesite to build war units? It make the AI dont build more than basic units, taking the balance of the game, thanks

Hi, how can I jump the necessity, at least for IA, to build garrisson to can build unit troops. I think AI became weak in unit quality because dont see the necessity of build that quarter, making the game weak in combat as well.

the garrison requirement to make combats units is annoying as hell (especially when the garrison walls dont adapt to new eras like encampments do), but otherwise incredible mod visually. thank you

This is a great mod, thank you! I'm having an issue where after researching Civil Engineering my builders and military engineers do not have the command available to demolish quarters. I tried reloading the game but that had no effect.

I really like the idea of this mod, but like others have said, would it be possible to make a version that just brings in the Quarters and doesn't introduce Steel or the unit changes (with the exception of the remove quarter action)?

I love the mod, city lights is no comparison, but garrison requirments for improved units breaks the game immersion, as AI can't handle it correctly... Wish it is corrected somehow.:CapitalDome:

Just wanted to say I love the idea of quarters and this has easily become one of my favorite mods but after playing for some time I realize the steel resource is really hard to get and takes away from the fun of the game. I appreciate what you've done here but I'm echoing the sentiment of other players who feel like the steel ruins the immersion. Can this be created with out it? Or maybe an options menu that allows players to choose the level of difficulty in managing the mod? Like the City Lights expansion does? It's appreciated but I'm gonna have to take off this mod until it changes. Thank you for your efforts!

Are you using the project metropolis mod as well? If you are I believe that may be the issue because it make shipyards a prerequisite for building industrial era ships. Because UC causes the shipyard to be removed when used with this mod, that may be the cause of this issue. Since without base game shipyards, it is impossible to build the ships. I encountered the same issue and the solution might be to remove what makes shipyards the prerequisite in the project metropolis mod.

Edit: removing the lines that made the prerequisite worked for me. If project metropolis is what is causing your issue also, go into the folder for it and remove the lines concerning the specific ships in RemovesAndReplacements.xml

Please remove the shipyard requirement of building naval units or maybe replace it with only requiring harbor. There is no shipyard in JNR's district expansion mods, so i can't build warships unless I turn the other mod off, but both of those mods are interesting. I don't want to play without any of them. Pls fix the problem thx.

Good day, I had some troubles with this mod too. But what I wanted to ask is, do you think it would be possible to create a mod that adds the quarters from this but doesn't include the steel making concept. The idea that a particular quarter must be placed in order to make steel forces all civs to partake regardless of victory strategies and is an immersion breaker. Not to mention, incompatibility with mods that already rework strategic resource maintenance for units.

Not trying to be fussy, your work is appreciated. A mod as mentioned above would be perfect for me is all. Have a good day!

quick question, if an improvement to a farmers quarter district gets pillaged, the flood irrigation building, how can we repair it? Builders don't seem to be the trick, I know we can demolish it after what civil engineering, but say someone came rolling through rather unexpectedly, you beat em back, butt they tore up a few tiles on the way out, how do I fix that? The tiles that is..

Oh My, I really hesitated to use this mod, seemed like such a big change, but finally in my latest play through I'm using it and wow. This changes the game for sure, and makes it a lot better. It's amazing how this brings to life the map, how the cities start to sprawl and use the land strategically, this is one of the best mods for civ 6 imo. Keep up the amazing work and keep sharing that awesome creative mind with the community!
