Is there a buddy like this but where the final smash charges automatically? It sucks that you can't use this for boss stages.

(I did read the "issues beyond me section" btw; the crash I reported just now happens even if it's a workshop ditto)

A few more bugs:
*Hitting F5 (especially as a workshop character?) can sometimes bug out the final smash bar display and make it appear way forwards.
*Hitting F5 while you have a FS fully charged always crashes the game; it says there's a hit_fx-related error on line 20?

Man, this is super cool!
Though, I found a few bugs with it:
*Elliana's Final Smash is a bit buggy; it'll deal a lot of damage and send opponents nowhere sometimes. It might have a super low angle and maybe that's what causes it? The projectile can also die unexpectedly soon off the sides and the first time I did it, it did squat cause I was too close to the opponent.
*I Final Smash'd the Gatekeepers in Abyss Mode as Clairen and some VERY janky behavior ensued lol
*In Practice Mode, no matter who I go as, the game seems to crash every time if the opponent is Maypul specifically.

...Also, how come projectiles don't fill the meter? I see it in the Steam description but is it an actual intentional decision? I feel like they should contribute at least slightly, even if it's less than melee attacks...

Again, to the kids that aren't used to reading descriptions. This mod enables the ability for other workshoppers to add Final Smashes to their characters. But that's the keyword, "THEIR" character. If you want a character to have a Final Smasher, then go bother the original creator of that character you like, not the creator of the Final Smash Buddy.

OK. Now that Mollo, Olympia, Pomme, and Hodan are part of the base game, they probably should get final Smashes.

Again. Kids please learn to read. The creator of your favorite character has to be the one to enable Final Smash compatitbily. Not the other way around.

Ah who am I kidding. I have been seeing the comments here for years and kids not only not read the description of this mod, but they are also allegic to checking replies before AND after commenting lol

You should make it compatible with Yellow (alan becker). It can be where you you can use the minecraft block black hole beam

A lot of kids here really do be taking the time to type a question but not to check and read the first line of the description lol

i'm not sure you're actually working on this anymore but i thought i should point out that the "fs_hide_meter" doesn't actually do anything, as it's never used in the code where it would matter (i have checked, it's nowhere to be found in post_draw.gml, just the initial reading with update.gml)

I feel like saying if we have a working smash orb buddy in this game I feel like we need something like a working super mushroom buddy that makes charge up like the smash orb but instead of giving like a super attack it makes your fighter huger witch gives both double damage and no knock back until the effects run out oh and for fairness you will have small bit of gravity and less jump hight

I don't know how to activate the buddy, where can I find the option ?

there are some characters like monica and sans that are on the list of characters that are compatible but their final smash does not work

Is called "Final Smash Buddy" because its a workshop submission of a "Buddy" that enables Final Smashes for the characters, just as the name of this submission suggested.

You should rename it "Final Smash Mod" as it's a mod.
