Sorry.. my local settings vs workshop defaults
Good catch, I'll update that to set the default flag correctly again
Should be fine with them.

Oh. I'm afraid I don't know, I don't use LWotC.
Oh, I thought it literally said "some numbers". The second number is the rank up requirement, are those soldiers at maximum rank?
I think a screenshot would help.
If it is now crashing for you, please ensure your CHL is up to date.
The stupid AI always deal damage to its own troopers, lol
This isn't set-up for MCM so you need to edit the .ini files.
"Rank Up Throttling" is the thing that limits it to one promotion = one mission.
There are some big overhauls that address reinforcement kills or fully change the system (like LWotC), but doing that is outside the scope of this mod. :)
The number does 'roll up' .. any overfill on one mission will still be there until you promote the soldier then it will increase to the next rank threshold.
In general 1 Alien = 1 kill ... however some units don't count as a full kill (eg lost, are 1/4 kill) ... participating soldiers also get a share of this, the 'kill assist' value of their class ... and then there is also a hidden number of 'bonus kills' added for completing a mission (exp)
This mod changes nothing of the working mechanics of the Kills-XP system, it merely provides a means to see the numbers in the UI/HUD:
.. in the form of [current kills] / [required for next promotion]
There are other mods that will allow you to view these numbers when not ina mission, such as Extended Personnel Info or Detailed Soldier Lists (toggle details)
~ I hope that was informative and helpful :) and thankyou for the detailed feedback :)
3. I mentioned this above, and would like to find out what happens to the excess experience during the mission, when the operator already has a sufficient number to increase (for example, 11/8 kills). Does this experience just disappear, or is it taken into account in the subsequent promotion (for example, will it really be 11/18 or 8/18)? I would also like to see the current experience of the fighters not only in missions, but also in the barracks between missions, it would be very nice.
1. Let's say an operative got a promotion during a mission based on the required number of kills achieved (for example, 8/8). However, further kills / kill asists are still counted in this counter, for example, 9/8, etc., while he already has an increase and this additional experience is not counted in next promotion level. Thus, in subsequent missions, this counter is saved and incorrectly reflects the current experience of the operator (show for example 11/8 but not 8/8).
Very good idea and suggestion. Mod updated with a new config option to do just that ;)
The duplicate nicknames is about the only down side to this.
This mod, and the No Crate Missions mod, are two of the best QOL upgrades for the game.
Enjoy the golden unicorn <3
The localization file should be empty in the workshop upload.
