I'm assuming this thing doesn't work? Which is a shame cause it seems to be the only throwing knife mod i can find

can be 1 Hunting Knife for 1 Throwing Hunting ? and make it more fragile

I didn't see an easy answer to either the knife not hitting anything and being gone, nor the last knife not spawning a drop if it hits for the last one thrown. If there is a Lua code hook for when the attack is checking if an attack was aimed at something you could put the spawn point there and the code would be called the same number of times as this code. I couldn't find documentation that there was a hook in the code there but I haven't made any mods for this game so don't know all of the hooks the developers made accessible.

In that case the code would need a split if for the knife aimed at nothing valid = spawn on ground in direction player was facing at random distance around 11 range, then if it was aimed at something valid drop it at that point

It'd be a good hook point for a rocket launcher / other projectile explosive... does that exist already?

I started looking at the code to see what needed added to give metalworking exp when creating the knives, finding that the Item recipe needs OnGiveXP:Recipe.OnGiveXP.MetalWelding5, added to give the expected exp from making them.

I then found a 2nd issue with this, the mod checks the number of Knives to reload upon throwing the knife and empties out the last in inventory if that was the last one before the last knife hits the target so that knife ceases to exist too.

The Knife gets dropped to the ground from the code upon hit checking if the player has the knife equipped but the reload un-equips it before the knife hits.

It doesn't give aiming exp or metalworking when you make them, it does give you short blades exp when thrown which I like. I threw one that missed and it ceased to exist? Not sure if that is a bug.

hi can i check does this mean that once you make several of these, and store them in your inventory bags, you can equip 1 of them, but after it is thrown, you can just press r to reload, and throw another one from bag? (without having to open inventory, and manually move it?) if so, cool :)

I absolutely love this mod! I was worried that I'd have to manually re-equip the knives after I threw them, but nope, just mowed down 20+ zombs in a single setting, the reload works just fine! This sneaky-hidy short-blade user just went full terminator!

Just a small request. Reduce the distribution of knives. If I can make it, it's useless to find it in everyone corpse and in every household.
