Just taking off cloth from dead pawn ? OP
Constructing a specified 30x20 heater room around chosen pawn with burning floor to down it with heatstroke/hitting it with blunt weapon and reloading save until it's down/locking it in the stone box and repair it until it falls to malnutrition is okay

I kinda want some steady gaming withoug unusual feats to acquire some pants, man. It's not op. It's logic mod. Truly a life saver
hellmagus666 Sep 13 @ 9:30am
@M00N_MAN Mate, what are you on about?
Delgore Sep 13 @ 6:10am
Thanks a lot! Just tired of making half map junkyards, loosing time burnig them or throwing them away with caravans. That's just a dumb system in the first place. I want to play a game, i already have laundry duty irl ;)
skoove Aug 28 @ 2:05pm
@Galzein If a github repo has an open source licence you can fork it and do whatever (useually) but since this one does not have an open source licence there is not much you can (legally) do
SugaRBomB Aug 21 @ 5:15am
@M00N_MAN So playing the game by attacking and downing a pawn then stripping them before they die is exploiting the game? TF? lol
Mutalith Aug 14 @ 8:47am
"did you know people crap their pants when they die", now I want a mod that goes with DBH that makes them create fecal sludge when they die lol
bweazel Aug 5 @ 10:29pm
That FAQ. I'm dying, lol
HungSigma420 Aug 5 @ 4:37pm
People crying that it's op then waist their time exploiting the game to randomly down a pawn to strip them. Like thats a better alternative
Galzein Jul 25 @ 7:04am
is there a way to make an option to make this works only on armors? if so, can i fork your mod on github or can i make a pull request to your mod to update it? I dont have many time to work on a new mod but if it is possible i would like to update your mod.

For me when i kill someone on Marine armor i would like to keep the armor, like why would you not? just because someone died using it? but it takes all the clothes, yhea its too op
xuelin Jul 17 @ 7:26pm
I think we can add an optional feature where some people may feel uncomfortable wearing dead clothes, and contaminated clothes will still be the same as those set in this mod
gasses888 Jul 17 @ 5:13pm
I think the only thing that should get tainted is pants or anything touching that layer when they die. but this will do.
Nepenthe Jul 15 @ 7:45pm
Great mod idea, better than completely removing tainted or adding a "washing machine" style fix. I really like the way you include testimonials in the description about it being OP, as if people wanting to get rid of the vanilla tainted mechanic thought doing so would not affect game balance.
kkpp1213456 Jul 12 @ 4:32am
thanks
Skellitor301 Jul 12 @ 12:38am
Gotta love how people say it's op while also find no issue in post apocalypse or war movies and shows when characters loot bodies for clothing. Like, do you think people in vaults in Fallout just remade clothes every time someone dies? Or recycled pipboys? Nah, this is more of a realistic change if anything. People who argue that games need to be challenging all the time for things like if the character is uncomfortable with the clothing they're wearing need to reassess what a game is. Not everyone plays to challenge themselves, they also play to relax and escape the ♥♥♥♥ in the world. Why would people who want escapism and to relax want to dive into artificial ♥♥♥♥?
Pauma del Sol Jul 5 @ 1:21pm
I'm grateful to find a mod that is unapologetic about being beneficial. People have internalized that gaming is supposed to be miserable, I swear, the base game needs mods to eliminate ridiculous and unrealistic difficulty components. Tainting clothes makes sense but not immediately.

I had no plans to update this tonight, but I figured I'd check if all it needed was a quick recompile. Seems like that was the case, though I've only done some light testing in 1.6. Report any errors in the new discussion thread for 1.6 bug reports.
Inglix  [author] Jun 11 @ 6:49pm
Before anyone asks...

Yes I already know the mod doesn't work for the unstable 1.6 branch.
Yes I already know it makes all pawns completely unkillable.
Yes I know it needs to be updated.
Yes I will get to it soon.
Heckerpecker May 6 @ 2:08pm
"OP" bro then don't use it, it's like someone saying using a bridge is stupid, I love the challenge of swimming through the river.
Merlotron Apr 5 @ 10:52pm
Thanks Inglix
wylantern Mar 31 @ 5:00pm
Anyone claiming this is "op" are idiots, when the game already allows geneva convention violations and cannibalism.
Inglix  [author] Mar 30 @ 7:27pm
Pushed an update that should hopefully resolve the issue. In testing with over 900+ other mods I could no longer reproduce the issue, but let me know if it persists for anyone.
Inglix  [author] Mar 30 @ 4:20pm
Seems like the issue may be due to a conflict with Big & Small Framework. I'm able to reproduce this issue with only that mod and this one active. It's certainly no fault of RedMattis, as it's unlikely they would have predicted that a mod like this had a Harmony Postfix on Corpse.RotStageChanged.

Now that I know the likely culprit, I have some ideas on how to resolve it. Stay tuned.
Inglix  [author] Mar 29 @ 6:22pm
First of all, I apologize for the prolonged silence. I've been a bit out of sorts lately and haven't been in the right headspace to do much of anything beyond the bare necessities of life.

I've just tried to reproduce this with an otherwise empty mod list and it appears to be working as intended. Seems like this might be a mod conflict of some kind. If anyone experiencing this problem could submit some Hugslib logs in the pinned Bug Reports discussion thread it might be helpful in tracking down the culprit.
BackfiredPlans Mar 28 @ 6:52pm
Adding one to the "durr broken" pile - humans seem to be tainting clothes instantly upon death.

HOWEVER, with modded xenotypes (I tested some of the big and small xenotypes, the vanilla expanded xenotypes, and the venator xenotype), it seems to function as intended.

In my experience it is only affecting vanilla baseliners... so far.
A´Ferro Oficial Mar 16 @ 7:27pm
It is not OP, if i find a power armour in a normal playtrough, i am using it even if it is tainted, and even so, in most cases you can strip your enemies in time. Also, that horrible quality tshirt at 20% hp is pretty much worthless
Ulas Mar 12 @ 8:19am
Also not working, would love an update
username918r818 Mar 3 @ 7:55pm
Same problem. The mod should go before mods for performance, but after all the others, then maybe it will work.
AD627 Feb 28 @ 9:37pm
Chiming in, also stopped working.
BacC0rCr1H4lP3n777 Feb 16 @ 1:59am
I too, am adding a 'not working' to the pile. Maybe a common dependency mod updated to change or otherwise overwrite the 'Corpse.RotStageChanged' and/or 'Pawn_ApparelTracker.Notify_PawnKilled' methods, but I'm not sure which it could be. I haven't exactly been tracking updates myself tbh.
Hedrox Feb 9 @ 5:03am
stopped working suddently, shame since it's a must for me
skizordrone Feb 8 @ 9:44pm
adding another "not working" to the pile. no error, nothing in logs. no idea whats up.
GraveMuse Jan 28 @ 4:07pm
Oh, it stopped working for me too but I switched my modlist so until I saw the other comments I thought it was an incompatibility and therefore my fault lol
It seems like the apparel stays clean for a split second after the pawn dies, but then becomes tainted as usual.
Inglix  [author] Jan 26 @ 9:21pm
Haven't had time to investigate what changed yet, but I will look into it as soon as I can.
Michael Jan 25 @ 1:37pm
Same thing as other people are reporting, suddenly stopped working and I don't know why lol
Depraved Arachnophile Jan 24 @ 3:57pm
Has very suddenly stopped working in the past day or so.
Zeta04 Jan 22 @ 7:30am
Also not working on my end
kanid99 Jan 21 @ 7:17pm
Seems like it recently stopped working.
FoolishJester Jan 20 @ 10:06pm
it doesnt seem to be working for me, clothes are becoming tainted as usual
PhobosReloading Jan 18 @ 6:49am
Too many years of "Loot the Corpses" for one game to get salty about it. Love this.
Inglix  [author] Jan 14 @ 4:38am
Damn... "Five Second Rule" would have been a hilarious name for this mod. Talk about a missed opportunity!
J'ee Jan 12 @ 8:28am
Yes! The 5 second rule should apply to dead people, too~
tt Jan 9 @ 1:51pm
This should be Vanilla (even if it is OP, tainted clothes don't make any sense). Thank you for the mod.

I was never so unfathomably rich before
BlackLotusWDN Oct 30, 2024 @ 2:15am
from me view u forgiven yeah it a bit broken but if people dont be looking for something as this they dont be downloading it anyway and if u rly care for balance just make washing machine that remove tainted status after a long work something as this for example: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ae/Pyykki-Maija_crank-operated_washing_machine%2C_1940s.jpg
Hey it's Matt Oct 28, 2024 @ 1:36pm
I don't know if I can forgive you to the damage you've caused to rimworld gaming, but it's a whole new brave world now...
Inglix  [author] Oct 28, 2024 @ 12:47pm
Well that's it everyone. Mieke has opened my eyes to the harsh truth which had thus far evaded my sight. Since I have now been shown the error of my ways I have no choice but to delete this mod and forsake RimWorld forever.

I will spend the remaining years of my life repenting for the unforgivable crime of disrupting the difficulty balance of a single-player sandbox game with an entirely optional mod. I am a monster who does not deserve forgiveness, and I can only hope that the gaming community can someday recover from the grievous damage I have caused.

Thank you Mieke. You have saved this community.
Mieke Oct 28, 2024 @ 11:58am
This mod makes the game too easy. There's a reason why clothing is tainted when raiders die
BlackLotusWDN Oct 24, 2024 @ 1:35am
allowing tainted & tattered clothes are from Scrapper Ideology in this mod

For those saying it's broken. I dunno if it's Ideology by default or some xtended ideology mod I slapped on, but there's an option to make your colonists not bothered by tainted or even tattered clothes. So the only thing this mod really does is keep up their sale values.
Cobra Jun 18, 2024 @ 9:37pm
this should be vanilla
