RainJar May 5, 2024 @ 7:09am
Nice helo, but I think the heater needs a rework. Keep having to get up from the seat to warm myself up haha
Spriti Sep 21, 2023 @ 2:17pm
why is the pitch so high?
Greg Apr 21, 2023 @ 6:00am
It sends a signal that can be detected by a transponder locator wich could be useful if rescue service can't find you .
SquidgyJack Dec 23, 2022 @ 8:35am
Sorry for the silly question but how do you use the VHF radio and the transponder. In addition to that what on earth is the transponder for.

A Marine 1 version please.

Cheers! found a simple grey jet fuel truck with a hose connector. Thanks for building this craft and all the other amazing looking things. You make the game :steamthis:
Sir Murtak [108th]  [author] Feb 10, 2022 @ 5:17am
You need to manually connect a fuel hose by hand. The default fuelling stations will be enough.
Infantrydude Feb 10, 2022 @ 4:19am
Really love this helicopter. Allround and the gear in the back makes it complete. My absolute no1 go to helicopter. Can someone help me out how to refuel this beast? Tried several fuel trucks but the connector wont fit the fluid port on the left side, next to the crew door?
Sir Murtak [108th]  [author] Jan 27, 2022 @ 3:44am
I do not know either ... my best guess would be stormworks being stormworks.
Collin36 Jan 26, 2022 @ 2:51pm
Why does this helicopter always seem to crash multiplayer servers and freeze my screen when i try starting up the helicopter. Frustrating and odd.

Other than that, tried it on a singleplayer server and worker perfectly fine, amazing helicopter.

Grab one of the Handles above the Door and exit the Harness.
Sir Murtak [108th]  [author] Aug 2, 2021 @ 1:40am
literally next to the crew door marked in bright red
Totenkopf Aug 1, 2021 @ 5:19pm
Where the hell is the refuel point?
Datt Guyyy Jul 3, 2021 @ 4:44am
I re-uploaded the one that was done by the guy who didn't ask, cause I didn't know but fair enough
Sir Murtak [108th]  [author] Jul 3, 2021 @ 4:43am
Since I assume that you're the one who already did it without asking the answer is no lol
Datt Guyyy Jul 3, 2021 @ 4:16am
Do I have your permission to re-upload this with a Royal Navy Skin?
human_ May 24, 2021 @ 10:08am
for some strange reason I can't seem to be able to refuel, I would connect the hose and no jet fuel would enter, am I doing something wrong?
czyk May 23, 2021 @ 7:45pm
I cant even start it????
Sir Murtak [108th]  [author] May 15, 2021 @ 2:44am
Jet
Spacey May 14, 2021 @ 6:57pm
Also crude or disel?
Spacey May 14, 2021 @ 5:40pm
I set the engines on high on normal operations, I am a rule breaker. >:)
FirefighterOne May 12, 2021 @ 1:48pm
Ok, thanks for the very fast answer.
Sir Murtak [108th]  [author] May 12, 2021 @ 12:11pm
XFeed = Crossfeed Valve between AFT and FWD Tanks.
Consumption changes like that are just due to pitch and gravity induced by pitch.
The real manual actually warns you to not exceed certain Pitch Angles at low FWD Tanks because it could starve the Engine.
FirefighterOne May 12, 2021 @ 12:06pm
Hello, its a cool Heli and i like to fly ist. Can you tell me the function of the "X FEED" button?
Why is the consumption of fuel at the FWD tank higher, if you fly forward and slower if you fly backwards? The same goes for the AFT tank.
Sir Murtak [108th]  [author] May 10, 2021 @ 2:36am
Just ignore it lol, I forgot I merged it with the battery switch.
Spacey May 9, 2021 @ 5:21pm
Where the heck are the avionics
Mistral Apr 29, 2021 @ 1:15pm
I can't find the avionics
Erin Apr 21, 2021 @ 9:36pm
This has been a lot of fun to use as a solo player. Feels like a modern helicopter--neutral on the stick and collective basically holds you in place (though the AP position hold and altitude hold modes are also useful). Hoist controls on one rescue harness is super useful. Wish it had more fuel, but there's only so much space for it.
The Crzy Potato Apr 8, 2021 @ 11:36am
Where is Avionics located?
Stalin Apr 6, 2021 @ 9:23am
hey @Sir Murtak [108th] i was just wondering if you had a discord or anywhere i can contact you?
Weegie Apr 4, 2021 @ 2:04am
extremely accurate interior, well done!
McNugget Apr 1, 2021 @ 7:43pm
For some reason I can't control this for the life of me. The engines are on normal and I followed the checklist. I barely get out the hanger before it flips out and bursts into flames.
Sir Murtak [108th]  [author] Mar 28, 2021 @ 9:19am
Good to hear! It was mainly designed as a Safety Feature in case you accidentally fall out.
Grimper Mar 28, 2021 @ 8:52am
Ah didn't know about that first condition, i was hesitant to just throw myself out on my career save. Works perfectly, thanks!
Sir Murtak [108th]  [author] Mar 26, 2021 @ 7:49am
Afaik there shouldn't be a reason for it to be broken. Conditions for it to operate are:
-No Player in (or really close around) the Helicopter
-No NPC or Player in the controlling Harness
-Autowinch Arm Button on
If all these conditions are met it should deploy it automatically to a winch length equivalent to the current radar altitude.
Grimper Mar 26, 2021 @ 6:52am
Hi, auto-winch doesn't appear to work anymore, else I'm doing something wrong. It's armed and im within 20m reach of the ground, but it won't go down by itself.
Rescue my Booty Mar 22, 2021 @ 10:12am
how does the althold work? Also, what are the two 1x1 screens in the bottom middle for?
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Mar 20, 2021 @ 10:04pm
its a great model, but the flight model tends to rock around alot and i find myself constantly compensating for maneuvers i did 2-3 seconds ago. maybe a stronger gyroscope?
BigTex Mar 14, 2021 @ 4:28pm
yep that was the problem i didnt realize i was doing that. great chopper. i fly one in xplane11 and yours is about as close as you can get in stormworks.
Sir Murtak [108th]  [author] Mar 14, 2021 @ 12:53pm
Is your throttle set to "N" (Normal) for both engines? I suspect that you're running it on "H" (High) which is only meant for heavy lifting or single engine operation.
BigTex Mar 14, 2021 @ 12:10pm
ok man this is a fantastic model and its my favorite sea king in game, but its really jittery when flying it does weird things i dont know if its something i did but it likes to bounce up and down.
GERUNIMO Mar 9, 2021 @ 4:25pm
False Idol, sorry your having trouble. Make sure the 'RADAR/BEACON' switch is on, that is the mode by which the beacons are displayed. Also, ensure the 'Map Projector' is also on so the map points can be displayed on the map. Hope that helps, let us know if you need further assistance.
False Idol Mar 9, 2021 @ 2:50pm
Good stuff but I am having some trouble with the beacon triangulating system. It's not generating points at all no matter how strong the signal is. Is there any other button I need to click other than "RADAR POWER" and ''RADAR/BEACON"?
GERUNIMO Feb 27, 2021 @ 5:50pm
MikeM86, Sir Mutrak did a great job explaining the Emergency Beacon Triangulation System. One thing I'll add is; of the two possible locations the system will generate the 'real' location will likely be the one that changes the least. The one that dances about the screen is likely the false contact. Hope that helps!
mandu Feb 27, 2021 @ 3:01pm
good helicopter
Sir Murtak [108th]  [author] Feb 26, 2021 @ 1:20pm
The Flash just shows that it has something detected. Signal Strength indicates the Strength of the Signal (it usually flashes way before it evens reads a signal strength). It will also draw two points on the map which will update constantly. These are possible target solutions. They will improve the more you fly around. (This pretty much only happens when you have signal strength indicated)
MikeM86 Feb 26, 2021 @ 1:08pm
I love the bird, but I'm a little confused as the beacon portion of the system. Does it just give a flash until you're in a certain range and then it gives signal strength?
Martinskyhopper Feb 26, 2021 @ 9:49am
yeah, i agree the giant gimbalcams look shit. the navigator booth has proper screens in the newer ones so that would be nice to have. just in general updating its "tech" but i still love how old everything looks. Im norwegian and my mom's sister's son worked at sola airport as groundcrew. every time he drove past the 330 squadron (SAR squadron at sola) he would take a photo of the helis that would stand outside in the summer and show them to me when we had a familigathering cause he knew i was into aviation. The livery is boring i agree but there isnt rlly that many details/paintblocks witch would make it easier on MP as it takes a little FPS when there is many ppl on a server. About the smooth take off, i started trying to lift when the RPS was to low so...
(i hope u understand what i wrote)
