T and D mixed up could be sick, or drunk conditions modifying phrases.
Kingdark Jun 15 @ 11:44am
I don't mean to point out the obvious, but you do know that uk english and us english have different spelling right? Could you give actual examples?
seby989 Jun 15 @ 11:13am
i played around with the settings and fixed it, but it would get t and d mixed up and add extra letters everywhere.
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] Jun 15 @ 10:13am
Can you provide examples of the gibberish?
seby989 Jun 15 @ 10:06am
so my character isnt drunk at all but the words he speaks are always spelt wrong, like its so bad its complete gibberish. mod done broke
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] Jun 9 @ 6:39am
That's what the settings are for. :)

Should be noted that if the phrases were gray or close to gray, they were thoughts.
Metal Mario Jun 8 @ 10:03pm
I like the mod but i had to disable the "speech can attract zombies" thing because the amount of times my character decided to tell everyone around he is slightly thirst or hungry while hiding from passing zombies kinda makes it annoying.
Kingdark Jun 8 @ 2:04am
Having voice over(s) would be awesome but... I still prefer the mute lines over anything else. There are a lot of them and you would need at least several different voices to cover everything...
lpoxb Jun 8 @ 1:04am
I'm wondering if it's possible to add voiceovers to all the lines since voices are added to the game?
Adamwest693 May 30 @ 1:39pm
ok ill give it a try thank you brother
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] May 30 @ 3:47am
Toggle ammo count, it should be a separate option.
Adamwest693 May 30 @ 12:50am
i have the ammo and out of ammo speech off but it keeps saying how many rounds i have and when i need to reload what do i do

I'm still having problem with font. I'm playing at 41b, Russian language. Mode lines aren't like in-game fonts. How can I fix that?
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] May 24 @ 4:22pm
The lines are dynamic/conditional, they undergo filters and such. I.e.: You slur your speech when drunk, stammer when cold, or both if drunk and cold. Which makes voicing them kind of impossible/impractical unfortunately. :(
Alpha Gamer May 24 @ 3:46pm
is it possible to add voiced speech to the text? im sure with eleven labs you could knock up a bunch of good voices
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] May 11 @ 8:29am
Changing MP text color changes the color for this mod. However, quieter speech is closer to gray, and gets more colorful the louder it is.
Mont May 10 @ 10:51am
Thank you so much for creating this mod. I don't think I can play the game without it anymore! However, while playing, I noticed that the dialogue text color is really hard to see. Is there a way to change the color? I'm playing in SP!:steamhappy:
LumberPlumber May 10 @ 9:48am
Can i chane font somehow? It was always the same as other in-game messages, but now its like Times New Roman. Im playing 41
Kingdark May 1 @ 7:29am
...Sorry, I suppose it isn't all that important. Apologies, I'll delete my messages so you can delete yours and you can stop wasting your time.
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] May 1 @ 7:15am
Ok, to provide as much context as possible so this exchange can end:

It's a message Steam recommends to include. Copyrights don't expire in a year. It's not obligatory to update it. Copyright is applied on date of publication, and voluntarily/recommended to be updated.

Hope that helps.
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] May 1 @ 5:33am
That's the publication (or modification) date.
Kingdark May 1 @ 3:44am
Wouldn't it make more sense to let the message stay until you acknowledge it by hitting a certain key? (If that's even possible?) It would solve the duration problem completely. Or maybe if normal speed, it could go away after x time, if speed is higher than x then it stays until you go back to normal.

Another solution to it. Just a thought.
Unamelable Apr 16 @ 6:28pm
Another suggestion:

- Add duration setting how long message will stay so player could read it (Problem is - when you turning on speed 2x/3x you don't even see message, its goes away too quick)
Unamelable Apr 15 @ 9:15am
2 Suggestions:

- Add setting where you can type how frequent you will see internal dialogue
- Ability to rewrite moodle description with recent line character said (or just random from text file)
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] Apr 15 @ 5:58am
It uses the translation files but it has independent phrase sets per language.
Unamelable Apr 15 @ 5:49am
Can you tell how much lines this mod has? Like i downloaded it recently and didn't even used it. If it completely text based - you can type SO MUCH quotes (chatgpt in help).

If i like it, can i "expand" its quotes? I hope mod use text files for every situation what is not depending on hardcoded LUA quotes, cuz it will conflict with main mod branch
Rusty #DopeRust Apr 14 @ 11:21am
@Chuckleberry Finn, no worries, thanks for taking time replying me thou.

Cheers.
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] Apr 14 @ 10:16am
I don't sorry.
Rusty #DopeRust Apr 14 @ 9:57am
@Chuckleberry Finn, thank you from the bottom of my heart once again, for all the mods you share with the community, amazing work, this has been in my playlist since last build.

A question i have is, there is any chance you have the alternative dialog with you shared by the player @Carlos, the uncensored one? I had it, but since i'm redoing the modliast, i lost it, and the link in the discussion thread is "dead".

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

It was one of my first mods, and one of my favorites too.

found a way to change UIfont.dialogue to UIFont.medium or UIFont.large just change the default UIFont.Dialogue to UIFont.Medium or UIFont.Large in the LUA files this is for those using 4k monitors as the UIFont.Dialogue font is too tiny to even read!!! note there is only 2 lua files u need to change ConditionalSpeech06_client.lua and ConditionalSpeech02_Core.lua, just search for UIFont in both files...
Coby Apr 7 @ 12:38pm
hi is there a way for the colour to also apply to the things like character yelling for example?
Korsak Apr 7 @ 6:31am
where should I put it in the list, I'm getting phrases that aren't in my language =)
Ⓦⓗⓘⓩⓚⓘⓓ Apr 4 @ 9:50pm
LARGER FONT FOR 4K MONITORS is this POSSIBLE?
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] Mar 19 @ 1:29pm
Do you mean that you can see the phrase set options in game on this older save? If yes, then I don't know. Probably a mod conflict.
CampinKarl Mar 19 @ 12:59pm
Yes, I've done that for a long time now, I even see the mod options in the existing save, along with the phrase sets and everything has the green check. But it doesn't seem to work, the character stays silent still and refuses to comment on anything :(

However, if I boot up a new game it works perfectly.

It was the same way back in 2021, my comment was still there from August 14 2021 on Page 74 even HAHAHAHA
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] Mar 19 @ 12:45pm
In the load screen just modify the loaded mods under "more" option.
CampinKarl Mar 19 @ 12:24pm
Is there a way to get this to work on an existing save?

I could not find answers on the description, the discussions tab, Reddit (which only has one post with no comments), Google, the PZ Forums, or all the comments on this workshop page until Page 94. This was a problem since I downloaded a year ago for Build 41. It works flawlessly on new games every time but I just cannot get it to work on my longest-running save.

Do I have to clear a cache somewhere? Is there anything I can do? :steamsad:

funny comment from ship as i literally just lost one of my favorite characters to a double deep wound that just never went away istg after like a week then next minute im mowing down some Zs in my car and notice im terminal hp, :(
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] Mar 12 @ 7:38am
That is a good idea.
Shipyard Mar 12 @ 6:05am
This mod is great. Not sure if this is already in the mod or can be added. I saw there was a moodle for when your shoes are about to be damaged/destroyed. Can/does this mod have a built-in prompt to tell you that your shoes are about to fall apart? Thanks for the mod, it adds another layer of immersion.
Chuckleberry Finn  [author] Feb 28 @ 5:14am
Yes
Amroth Feb 28 @ 4:36am
Do the zombies hear when player says something/screams?
McFeddle Feb 12 @ 4:46pm
My character is too reserved for this malarkey.
Il Mazzulatoro Feb 12 @ 1:43am
The problem is also the gray text. It muddles up with the gray highlight making it even harder to read on Deck
Il Mazzulatoro Feb 11 @ 11:38pm
Wish there was a way to increase the font size (wouldn't find a way to do it) -- I'm playing on Steam Deck and the text is really hard to read
